Could Amitriptyline be the cause of my hot flushes
I've been taking Amitriptyline for a few years now. Highest dose is 50mg. I had reduced my dosage due to pregnancy and breastfeeding. However I've recently increased my dose back up to 50mg, and I've been having terrible hot flushes day and night. I remember having hot flushes before this pregnancy but

Struggling with persistent back pain. Tips?
Hi all. I've been struggling the last few days with dreadful mid to lower back pain which isn't a typical symptom for me. I'm using my CBD oil as usual, amitriptyline, cocodamol, deep heat and hot baths but I'm still finding it difficult. I have to sit at a desk most of the day to work, but I'm finding

Amitriptyline for Gut Issues
Has anyone had success with Amitriptyline for gut issues/IBS/bloating? If so, is it something you have to take forever?

Topiramate and interaction with Levothyroxine and Liothyronine (and new blood test results)
Hi, I've recently had a bad spell of migraines, pretty much constant for the last week with sensitivity to sunlight, bright light and noise, nausea, bad fatigue and breathlessness. I take 80mg Amitriptyline for chronic migraines which has helped, although I still get some migraines. These usually only

I read a post in October of 2018 and it seemed to identify what my son was experiencing. He is a lot better from the amitriptyline and wants to wean off of it. I would like to visit this post again but need help locating it. I will include the screen shot I took of it. Thank you for helping me locate

Can't wear anything around my stomach
I am getting worried. I was diagnosed with ibs d in my 20s. I'm now in my 50s. It's caused me lots of discomfort and worry with running to the loo suddenly. Now I'm on amitriptyline which has helped significantly with ibs and insomnia. But I can't wear anything around my stomach. It sets it off and I

No medication seems to be working to ease some of the pain
Me again. No medication seems to be working. I'm currently on 3 gabapentin, Naproxen, 2 Omeprazoles (stomach was slightly damaged in early may as I wasn't aware that you had to have a stomach lining tablet with naproxen... Dr didn't give any Omeprazole with the naproxen so was advised to take 2 of them

PIP TELEPHONE ASSESSMENT
Hi everyone! I’ve got a PIP telephone health assessment booked for tomorrow and I’m so so anxious about it I feel as though I’m going to say the wrong thing or mess it up somehow. I’ve been through this process before and got awarded 0 points on every single component despite having had numerous surgeries

Does Trazadone/Amitriptyline help reflux?
I have noticed that when I take even 1/4 of Trazadone or Amitriptyline for sleep that the next day I have practically no reflux symptoms. Has anyone noticed this in their history or experience with gastro-esophageal problems?

Support, Anxiety and Meds
10 weeks ago I was diagnosed with anxiety, which has been bubbling away for years. I guess at least 38 years. In March, I turned 43. So, this will give you an ideal of how deep-rooted the problem is. Again, in the 80’s, there was no such thing as anxiety or depression, only feeble and worthless people

Amitriptyline for burning feet. Any side effects?
Following a phone appointment last week with a different Rheumatologist to my usual, I have been prescribed 10mg Amitriptyline for my burning feet which often keep me awake. If I have enough energy when they are really bad I get up and wrap a Thermos Ice Pack out of the freezer in a towel and put that

Hi everyone I haven’t written for a while. But continue to read with interest. I had been at 1 mg of pred but in the last few weeks things have been slowly getting worse. I am 3 and a half years since first starting treatment. Came off pred for 5 months last year then had to back on. I work full time
