Can't wear anything around my stomach

I am getting worried. I was diagnosed with ibs d in my 20s. I'm now in my 50s. It's caused me lots of discomfort and worry with running to the loo suddenly. Now I'm on amitriptyline which has helped significantly with ibs and insomnia. But I can't wear anything around my stomach. It sets it off and I have pain in my upper left quadrant. There is a definite small lump there, which I've had checked out and am told is nothing to worry about. Probably a fatty lump as it feels like it's just under the skin. I've also got GERD and a hiatus hernia, lucky me!! 😁 Has anyone else got similar problems please.

Know how you feel! but I can wear the tapered elasticated waist trousers you get from M&S, other brands available😉. I too have had IBS d for 25 years but have no experience of your other probs, which must add to your pain. You know your own body and if you feel there is something not right or a new symptom appears like bloating, go back and see your GP. Good luck🍀

Hi, I, like Linley, wear elasticated waists now. I can't bear any pressures from above the waistline right down to the groin area. I prefer skirts or dresses if going out, rather than trousers. When I'm indoors I just wear old stuff that's comfortable!
