Lupus flare, thyroid problems, cfs?
Hello everyone, I wondered if anyone had any advice or similar experiences, or can just shed any light onto what now feels like a very big mess that has become my life! 10 years ago I was diagnosed with SLE. I'd been unwell for about a year with severe fatigue, up and down flu like symptoms, exhaustion

Spinal cord stimulator for RLS?
My pain doctor who is prescribing me my tramadol and Lyrica is considering a spinal cord stimulator as a possible way to control this. Does anybody know anything about using a spinal cord stimulator for RLS? I tried doing a search on here but nothing came up.

Sleep issues on Taxotere??
Update on my dad-he has been feeling great on Taxotere up until about 4days ago. His Alk Phos has been declining steadily and PSA has been steady. About 4 days ago he started having a lot of issues sleeping. He has only slept a handful of hours the past 3 nights. Today he is suppose to have his 5th chemo

Thoughts on my latest blood results
Just wondering if anyone would be so kind as to cast an eye over my latest results... a few of my b12 symptoms are coming back despite every other day injections. Very pale skin, tiredness, headaches, tingling arms etc. So I asked my doctor to do a full blood test and he reluctantly agreed, but has marked

Test results what do they mean? Have gone online so have previous results when I was complaining of fatigue, confusion over last 5 years...
Felt fairly rubbish over the last 2 months- feeling sleepy if sat back unless using the PC, hence watch TV on a night and o stuff on PC otherwise I would drop off, or reach for something to eat to keep me awake! Hence the expanded waistline.... Appreciate your comments - is it the thyroid, B12, or

Obtained my results as advised by the community, after being advised by GP to go for repeat test in 4-6 weeks as borderline thyroid issue...
Hi Just done the repeat blood test for thyroid and as I asked why my B12 was so high they are retesting B12 in case of a mistake in the lab. (I was expecting a low B12, as my sister has B12 injections, she is hypothyroid, Hashimotos and has MS. Mum and auntie also the hypothyroid condition. I don't

It’s wonderful when one gets to a meeting or a conference which is both outstanding, and at the same time, somewhat outside ones own circle of expertise or experience. So, a while ago, I found myself in a conference on metal allergies. Organised by my good friend Dr Shideh Pouria, one of the UK’s leading

Positive Ana then negative
Hi everyone. 4 weeks ago my pcp ordered blood work because he suspected I had a thyroid issue. He also did an Ana test. The Ana test came back positive and I was referred to a rheumatologist. After a physical examine he believed I may have lupus or RA. I have extreme joint pain, anemia, low vitamin D

Another autoantibody has appeared!
Hello. I've been the proud owner of a AMAs for at least 10 years, but I have normal liver function test so the GI people don't want to see me. I'm female, 49 and have been suffering from painful and slightly swollen joints recently, especially my knuckles (the PIP joints specifically) on both hands

New Here - Pure O, Harm OCD, Intrusive Thoughts History. Just Restarted Clomipramine After Relapse.
I can remember suffering with a form of OCD back to childhood. Repeatedly checking things for safety like the gas on the cooker and locking doors. It first became a problem of more severity in 2001, then again in 2008 and has been ongoing but maintained ever since. I have done CBT, Mindfulness and Counseling

Rheumatology appointment in January
Hi all, it's my first post, I'm hoping I can get some thoughts from you... I first went to my GP about my aches and pains 7 years ago, they tested for rheumatoid arthritis but it came up negative. I was then sent to see a rheumatologist for a possible lupus diagnosis but they decided it wasn't. I was

Graves’ disease, in remission since May 2018 but in lots of pain
In the spring of 2016, I started to feel unwell and to display various of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism. The first symptom I experienced was physical pain. In May 2017, I was diagnosed with Graves hyperthyroidism and started taking medication. By the autumn of 2017, my thyroid levels were back within

Same story as last 3wk checkup! Alk Phos decreasing and PSA considered stable
Well we got my dad’s results back yesterday before his 4th Taxotere infusion. Still so confused! His Alk Phos has looked like this: Before each infusion: 1st-1500 2nd-650 3rd-300 BUT-his PSA looks like this: 1st-20 2nd-21 3rd-22 What is going on? I don’t understand how he is having such dynamic changes
