Spinal cord stimulator: one year later
I have Complex regional pain syndrome in my left arm which occur due to a fracture to my ulnar styloid. In 2016 I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted to help control the pain and allow me to have use of my arm. I was lucky enough for it to work well for me. In feb 2017 I started training as a chef

Ezetimibe anyone?
My consultant recently wrote to me and advised that she wanted me to start ezetimibe as my alk phos was higher than she was comfortable with at 280. I can find nothing online about the use of this drug in PBC and don't like blindly taking things without knowing a bit more about it. I have an appointment

Why are my LFT rising?
Been a rough week here. We had 2 deaths in our family and I drove from Indiana to Kansas and back to Indiana in the course of 3 days with my elderly mother and my 4 month old baby in tow. Saw my GI Friday, which is why I drove home immediately following the funeral. Anyway, while I was there she said

iloprost for scleroderma
Hi! I was diagnosed with systemic scleraderma just over a year ago following a stomach ulcer and a positive ana blood test. Have been on losartan with fluoxitine, omeprazole and azathioprine but am going in tomorrow for 5 days of iloprost. Bit nervous and somewhat dubious after reading some posts but

Herbal advice?
Good Evening, I am just wondering if anyone can recommend any herbal that can help my anxiety or is herbal all a lot of rubbish? I'm currently on propranolol which helps with my panics, I use it more as a safety net - I wouldn't say my anxiety is intense as it was last year when I was on antidepressants

St John’s Wort and Levothyroxine????
I’m considering taking St. John’s to alleviate some anxiety and low mood symptoms. Has anyone any fixed experience in taking it when also dependant on levothyroxine? I take 100 mic g a day.

Anyone with spinal cord stimulator?
I'm considering one for neuropathy in my feet. Not diagnosed with MS yet (going to MS clinic on Thursday, yay!). My pain doc said it might be hard to get insurance to cover it for MS related pain. Curious if anyone else has one?

New here-going to MS clinic this week
My Qs: anyone here diagnosed with normal lumbar puncture? Or misdiagnosed with migraine before MS diagnosis? This seems like a lovely community. I'm just going to jump in as I have my first MS clinic appt this week. I have seen two neurologists that say my mri lesions are migraine but my GP said no way

Alk phos level and ezetimibe
I have just been told that at 285 my alk phos is too high and I should start another drug called ezetimibe on top of the urso. I have to stop breastfeeding my 15 week old as a result so I just wanted any thoughts on this prior to taking this step which I'm quite upset about.

Positive ANA and clots
I just turned 25 years old and let me tell you I feel way older than that. I just gave birth to my third child. I got several extensive and severe blood clots. My iliac and femoral was completely clotted (no blood flow at all) from groin to ankle. It's now been 10 months on blood thinners and I still

Cause of liver enzymes continuing to rise? ALT and AST
Just an update- when we went for his 3rd chemo last week the blood tests beforehand showed his liver enzymes had risen again- to just under 200. PSA is down to 68. We had gone off all supplements after 2nd chemo due to enzymes being high. Because we went off all supplements (except D3, Omega 3, and

Do I Need to be referred back to a Rheumatologist?
I'm 46 and have been having spells of unwellness throughout my life. At 18 I was in hospital for weeks with HSP & ongoing kidney issues (iga nephritis) which got better in time. I was told that it was quite rare to get HSP as an adult & I would never get it again. I've had many bouts throughout my adulthood
