Autoantibodies - i test positive for quite a few, was just wondering if this was true for other people?
Hi everyone, I'm new to this site, only been diagnosed this year, have been having really bad flare-ups for the last 9 months and am about to start Azathioprine. I am currently at university towards the end of a biomedical science degree and am really interested in the immunology side of it,

Natural Anti-depressants
Anyone have positive experience of taking natural anti-depressants.. Changed my thyroid meds a few times this year and became mildly depressed. Tried St Johns Wort with some result, gone on to Prozac for a few weeks which has stopped it, but have side affects. Love to hear of a natural product that works

What a difference a year makes
This all started a year ago with a really painful knee and finger joints and then a surprise positive ANA. The fatigue and other symptoms had always been there in bouts for years but had been put down to anaemia and flu. Now my christmas tree is sitting in the garden for my husband to bring in where

Diagnosis of lupus without positive ANA?
I have recently been diagnosed with a "lupus-like connective tissue disease" due to symptoms and a positive ANA test. My young daughter has very similar symptoms to myself, but although she has a high IgA (which may indicate inflammation, i believe) her ANA result is negative. Given the family

Ds DNA 0f 84IU/ml
Hi. I have just collected my blood results from my GP for the last year to see how they have changed and the above result had come back in September. Will this result along with my weakly positive homogenised and speckled ANA, positive hughes test and arthritis get me that ever elusive Lupus diagnosis

Facial changes on half of my face, neuro changes, high antibodies in 08
Hello. I have a question if anyone could offer input. I have been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder affecting collagen, however it doesn't explain why I have felt like my face has been morphing lately. Neurologists and my opthamologist have noted that my left pupil is

Positive Nail Fold Capillary test and Raynauds
I have had Raynauds for 20 years and have tested ANA positive only once in all that time (2001), subsequent tests have all come back negative. However after having a clear Nail Fold Capillary test in 2007 I recently had a repeat test and this time they found changes and evidence of secondary Raynauds

I was wondering if anyone could help me? I have been allergic to the sun for three years but whenever I returned home from holiday and spoke to a doctor I was never taken seriously, instead told I must be allergic to the sun lotions I was using or suffering from heat rash. I have spoken to te doctors

Getting a diagnosis
Hello, I'll try to keep this brief but you know how these things go! I have a 'sort of' diagnosis of seronegative Rheumatoid Arthritis. My current rheumatologist feels this is the diagnosis that is the closest fit at the moment. I moved to my current hospital a year ago because I felt my previous
