Felt fairly rubbish over the last 2 months- feeling sleepy if sat back unless using the PC, hence watch TV on a night and o stuff on PC otherwise I would drop off, or reach for something to eat to keep me awake! Hence the expanded waistline....

Appreciate your comments - is it the thyroid, B12, or something else causing the chronic fatigue?

This is almost a duplicate of your previous post. Were the replies to that post not helpful?

I’d insist on Starting 50 levo and see how you feel in six weeks - you’ll feel a lot better. TSH is too high as doc says plus you have symptoms of hypothyroid. Time to start treatment!

Hi there, witha TSH of 6, thats clearly a sign that your thyroid is struggling, also your free T4 is in the very low range. Shame they did not test free T3, but it will be in the low range as well I am sure. If you are having symptoms, you should go back to your GP and ask to be put on a trial of 50 mcg thyroxine ( unless you are over 65 or have a heart condition, then they start you on 25). You may well feel initially better and then less good again, but that is normal and you will most likely to need another increase after 6 weeks.

In addition, your high cholesterol is very likely being caused by the slow down of your metabolism and having too little T4/T3 available. If your GP was astute, he would have made the connection, but they don’t seem to be able to connect the dots any more. I also saw that your HbA1c was fluctuating, again, raised glucose levels can also be a sign of thyroid disease, but if you are on the proper treatment, cholesterol and glucose levels should get back into the normal range.

If you wait until your TSH has reached 10, more damage will be done not only to your energy levels but also will have implications on other metabolic processes! Stand your ground and insist on treatment - best of luck and I hope you will feel better soon!
