Finally got to see a Rheumatologist.
I was told by my General Dr. that my ANA test showed that I had ANTISCLERODERMA-70 Antibodies. That along with the symptoms I have been having he recommended that I go see a Rheumatologist. When I made it to her she immediately told me that most of the tests done in a general practice office were false

ANA test - Sjogrens, Lupus?
Hi, I'm a Hashi thyroid patient. I have been suffering with rashes which seem to be related to the sun. I was referred to Dermatology who performed an ANA test to rule out Lupus. My results show positive for ANA and anti-La antibodies but negative for ds-DNA. I have no clue what this may indicate - sjögren's

PSA woes paired with anemia and high alk phos
At the Mayo Clinic today getting labs and scans. My PSA has jumped from 300 to 815 in 2 months and for the first time in my 3.5 years of battling this disease my alkaline phosphatase is elevated and I’m mildly anemic. Heading in the wrong direction for sure. Will see what bone scan and CT’s show but

Hanging in there!
Thanks for your advice - however it would not be a wise move to stop any medication and go alternative, when you have good reasons for being on main stream meds. Alternative meds such as St Johns Wort is very effective after a few mths use - for depression however it does interact poorly with many meds

Cytomegalovirus CMV positive- has anyone experienced this ?
Hi has anyone had a positive immune test for this virus CMV linked to autoimmune disorder or hepatitis? It’s come up in my blood tests with raised liver enzymes, enlarged liver on ultrasound. Rheumatologist nurse wasn’t familiar with it but on research it seems there is a link. I’m under investigations

Thyroid nodules and high TPO
Hi, I’ve been going through a lot this year and I still don’t know if I blame my liver or my thyroid or both. My liver came back as fatty and mildly enlarged in May but with a normal variation called Riedel’s lobe. My enzymes were all fine but just a tiny bit higher than the normal by like 3 points.

I haven't posted in a while....just haven't been in the right head space and didn't want to come on here and lay my self distructive self defeitest attitude at everyone's doorsteps as you are all going through enough yourselves. So I'll try to remain calm and logical as I type. Lol Does
