SOC options have run out, PSMA negative, declining health - what's next?
My husband was diagnosed with high grade prostate cancer in 4/06 Gleason 4+3=7 in 12/12 cores with 90 to 100% involvement of the tissue cores. His original clinical staging was T2c versus T3. PSA at that time was 6.4. -First treatment was brachytherapy and IMRT. Undetectable PSA never reached. -Recurrance

1st scan after verzenio/letrizole with MBC to bone.
It was my first scan after starting treatment and I was so scared to get results. I am ecstatic to say, my results were all good. My tumor markers started out before treatment at 301. It went down to 150, then 115, and now at 93.7. I was told my alk-phos was in the normal range which she found unusual

Is twitching a particularly hypothyroid symptom?
I have been twitching in a part of my body - upper right rib cage on back / under right arm - for the last 3 or 4 days. Have been having a distinct flare of numerous health problems over the last 2 weeks. I know that I am low in ferritin (12 the last time measured, which was in June) but know nothing

Interferons as the First Choice of Cytoreduction in ET and PV
»Interferons are a group of cytokines with immunomodulatory properties and were the first immune therapies used in the treatment of cancers, including hematologic malignancies. Use of standard interferon alfa-2b for MPN treatment has been limited by its difficulty in administration and adverse effect

St John’s Wort tincture and Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)
Just wondering if anyone has a view on these herbal treatments: - St John’s Wort tincture - meant to be good for muscles - Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) Root Extract - meant to be good for adrenal glands. Believe me, I am not parting with my Prednisolone until PMR goes back from whence it came

4 months and no answers!
Heads up: this is a vent post about how much this SUCKS! OK, so the story is, I’ve been off work for the past 4 months with exertional breathlessness and no cause. They know my heart is involved, but every single cardiac test (stress test, CPCA, halter, PET/CT, cardiac MRI) has come back normal. CPET

Spinal Cord Stimulator and PMR pain
After 10+ years of chronic back pain, resulting from failed spinal surgeries, spinal stenosis and osteoarthritis, I finally opted for Spinal Cord Stimulator implant with Boston Scientific System. I am happy to report my chronic back pain has been reduced by 65%. Eureka! All was well, as I continued

diagnosis doubts
I was diagnosed with limited systemic scleroderma 4 years ago with the usual positive ANA blood tests. But I still have difficulty believing the diagnosis – there is nothing visible! (apart from Raynauds which I've had for 30 years). My main symptom is non-absorbance of nutrition – I have lost a stone
