Awaiting diagnosis (fibromyalgia)
I’ve recently had a letter saying I’ve had a weakly Positive ANA blood test result with an anticentromere pattern. Does anyone know what this means. I’ve not got my appointment until 24th December when I go back to see the rheumatologist. Any help or advice would be really appreciated in lots of pain

Understanding your blood test
Hi all, Happy New Year etc! I have finally managed to translate my blood test results and for anyone else out there who is also bemused, I am attaching a guide to help you understand the basics. Ranges are often slightly different, or expressed differently in different countries or even clinics but really

How to prepare for Rheumatology Appointment
Hello, I'm new here. I have an appointment with rheumatology on Saturday, and would love some advice on how to prepare for it fully. I've been referred because a recurrent miscarriage clinic picked up a positive ANA test- the repeat test was also positive (a weak positive.) I have struggled with joint

I'm a little scared with my cbc
I had some blood work done it shows low wbc at 3.4, rbc at 4.24 and abnormal mpv 11.6 most worrisome results is NEUTROPHILS 34.7 %LYMPHOCYTES 49.5 What could this mean? I got to the doctor tomorrow but I've just been so nervous. I also have a few enlarged lymph nodes in my neck that have been there

Rising PSA after chemo, next steps?
My husband, 67, was Dx with high volume aggressive metastatic PC in April. PSA was 72.8. Started degarelix, had 6 sessions of docetaxel, added abiraterone in August, consolidative SBRT in September. Lowest PSA was 0.99 right after chemo, in August. In September, 1.12, October 1.87, and now in November

Need help with readings
Hi there! Over the last year I've been experiencing lots of weird health issues which may be related to hormones. Hot flushes on my cheeks, but very cold hands and feet, extremely dry hair. I've also had shingles many times and very low cholesterol. Because my GP ran a few blood tests but nothing unusual

Why would psa come up and Alk phos come down. This is all so confusing. I’m so sorry to be redundant just trying to understand. I’m not getting answers from our local Oncologist and have to wait for our other Oncologist Dr Beltran to get some answers. Sorry

Big decisions, huge consequences.
My psa has soared to 361 from 91 and previously 6. My alk phos is 700 plus i am feeling some pain in my kidney region and perhaps, liver area. I am considering a quick trip abroad for Lu 177, the fda approval not quite settled state side yet. Very scared this might be my swan Song. Just finished

What exactly is needed for a Lupus diagnosis?
Looking for some advice from people who have been diagnosed with Lupus… In July I went to my GP due to severe joint pain, along with other symptoms. Pain started in my wrists but has moved to my other joints now and is making day to day very difficult. The GP took some bloods, but was so sure it was

How do you manage?
Living w/chronic pain most of my life. Opioids don't work for me, spinal cord stimulator helps. Exercise + mindfulness help also. I have use of a pool twice-weekly but must use rollator to help me walk. Pain care is mostly private and restricted in ROI, so very expensive! What access do you have to help
