Biological therapies
Hi there. Back in hospital with asthma exacerbation. I'm being referred to a specialist regarding biological therapies which might include injections each month. Has anyone any experience of these or know more about them. Thanks

Disimpactation 3.5yr old
Hi there I wondered if anyone had any thoughts or advice. My daughter 3.5 is going through disimpactation (8 sachets laxido) and has been withholding for 1.5 years. I thought it was just constipation at first. We’re at day 9 and I thought it had worked but from reading this forum I can see we need to

Anyone else had a complete meltdown few days before Transfer? 🤷🏻♀️😭🤦🏻♀️💞
Morning All, so after our MMC at 12 weeks a few months ago, we are ready for our second FET this coming Tuesday! I’m not sure whether it’s due to recent events but last night I had a complete meltdown worrying about the outcome... Has anyone else been like this or currently like this? 🤦🏻♀️❤️ I think

New shoes came with two PB’s
New shoes arrived a few days ago and decided to take them out for a short 3km run initially. Obviously the excitement of new shoes numbed any common sense to run slowly and I ended up with a 1km PB of 5:17 and a 3km PB of 17:10. Neither of them were expected! Anyone else achieved PB’s due to new shoe

Hi everyone, hoping your all coping with your illness or diagnosis and all it brings. I've had a nasty spine fracture for 5 weeks but urgent surgery is not an option due to being end stage. To all of you covo is frightening and I imagine most of you including myself will be free on Sunday 16th. I

Numb and empty
Hey all, Today I feel numb, empty, and lonely without my narcissistic best friend by my side. I was friends with her for over 25 years and have accepted that she is a narcissist who emotionally abuses me and is often quiet, critical, and judgmental of me. She is still in my life but we just contact

Peanut Butter Magic?
Well I don’t know what magic ingredient is in crunchy peanut butter, but in desperation, as I hadn’t eaten since 11am (and it was 7pm) and I just had to get out and run, I munched a desert spoonful of PB on its own, swigged a pint of water & off I went. Felt better than ever, ran 6k (1k more than ever

Cognitive impairment and anhedonia after whiplash: what should I do?
I am new here. I had a whiplash in January due to a sudden and unexpected stop of the car in which I was a passenger. Since then, "I felt increasingly detached from myself, as if I was a ghost of myself just going through the motions; functioning at a lower level of conscious awareness; not fully experiencing

CONSOLIDATION UPDATE!... treadmill vs outdoors!
So, thought I'd post a little upate as its been a couple of weeks... had a week away and took my running gear with the intention of running but that turned out to be entirely unrealistic, so i just took the hit and gave myself a week off. I was a bit nervous about that hindering progress, but actually

I am a long term rls sufferer and I need help dealing with my condition. I was on gabapentin for about 9 years but the condition just steadily got worse. After a neurological consult, I was given ropinirol & clonazapan. Results were variable at best. Due to side effects, I stopped taking clonazapan.

A Red Kite and some Bees!
Hello everyone, a little nature post for you this evening! A lot of us have noticed that the wildlife have become a little more adventurous during lockdown and we’ve noticed that a pair of Kites that usual circle the neighbouring farmland have now started to circle above our garden (along with some Buzzards

Should I stay or should I go....
That was my dilemma this morning. Had a terrible night... just a few hours disturbed sleep. When the alarm went off at 5, I couldn't have felt less like getting out of bed, let alone going out for a run. I was so torn.... my head voice was telling me I should just put the run off until tomorrow, so

5 year old with constipation/soiling has been told he can't attend school
My 5 year old son has ongoing chronic constipation which causes intermittent soiling at school. Although he returned to school for two days last week he soiled on both days and I have now been told that he is unable to attend without a risk assessment and health care plan (I had asked for health care

W3R1- The Hardest Part
I’ve been a little quiet lately but the good news is I haven’t stopped running, I just didn’t have the mental energy to write about the last ones, especially after my last epic saga of the mundane was lost to the depths of my iPhone last week. So anyway I ran on Saturday after a chain of unexceptional

Things took a bad turn
Dad had been in ICU for about 56 days on a ventilator due to Covid, he was finally transferred to rehab with a tracheotomy. He was still on dialysis but kidneys were just starting to kick in. He was awake, alert but couldn’t speak yet. Had minimal muscle movement, was using his right hand however his

Good afternoon all, I like to think myself as an early morning runner, getting my exercise in before I start work. However, I really struggled to drop off to sleep last night, no particular reason, just one of those nights when I couldnt stop my brain from thinking! Alarm went off at 5:45am as normal

Losing your job
So this is a weird one. My firm have said due to Covid they are asking people to take unpaid leave of undetermined length due to Covid 19. In my job I have to charge 6.5 hours of work per day and effectively my firm have decided the unpaid leave starts with all those not meeting the 6.5 hours as they

What is this country coming to.
My grandson who is 26yrs old is a HGV / Articulated lorry driver. On Friday night he stopped at a service station in Stafford, a car was parked behind him. The man walked away from his car and called a man who had walked out just before Dan over, and saw him punch him in the stomach so he thought I
