Well I don’t know what magic ingredient is in crunchy peanut butter, but in desperation, as I hadn’t eaten since 11am (and it was 7pm) and I just had to get out and run, I munched a desert spoonful of PB on its own, swigged a pint of water & off I went. Felt better than ever, ran 6k (1k more than ever before), fastest speed than ever before and didn’t feel like I was dying at the end 🤪. Maybe the fact I had 2 days rest helped, but really, if it was like that every time, I’d love running. But the reality is, usually I’m nervous before every run, and never believe I’ll be able to do 30mins. I graduated early July so it’s taken a while, with a few injuries in between. But now I’m going to stock my cupboards with crunchy, smooth and everything in between!!

That may be the secret elixir of running ! 6k is a great distance, that’s what I’ve been doing for the first time this week, I did it Monday and Wednesday but I think 2 days between runs suits me much better, so next run probably Saturday. I still get nervous for some reason before going out for a run too (it’s a good laxative 😜)....probably TMI there. Anyway well done and good luck 👍

That's what I've been doing for the list few weeks before each run as I go first thing in the morning. No idea if it's making a difference but I don't want to run without doing it now

Have you tried the one with Marmite in it? 😄 OK, if you hate Marmite you won’t appreciate that statement but otherwise..... pass me a spoon, it’s dangerously moreish! 😁 👍
