Post concussion syndrome
My son has been diagnosed with post concussion syndrome after 3 years. He is being treated for eye problems following accident visual shifted and 3 other eye diagnostics and needs 8 months of rehab. Its frustrating it took so long. He had contant headaches and we are thinking of cbd oil.

Hey Everyone. In all the time we spend together here, I have realized that there is so much we dont know about each other. I wanted to share a bit about me. Some know I have been a musician my whole life. I taught, I toured, I wrote, I produced, I played my heart out. Sometimes I hear a song that I just

Toilet training: tips for using the potty/toilet please!
Hi, I'm at a bit of a sticking point with our 3y 7mth son. Please bear with me, this may be a bit jumbled!.... Our toilet training journey has taken an alternative route starting with him refusing a nappy at night-time (huge risk :D) and him being dry. He still wanted no nappy next morning so thought

Burning Pain Above Left Knee
I have the same thing, just above my left knee. I normally check on the Mayo Clinic website for items. In this case it seems it MIGHT fall under "Meralgia paresthetica" and since I have not been diagnosed with diabetes, it is more likely that it was caused by an auto accident I was in about six months

PFM colour coding
So I’ve mentioned this a few times on here, but due to the excitement of the junior in rapids on seeing it (he took a pic to show he’s friends) I thought I’d post an image! I (like most) struggle to do maths/work out zones when my asthmas really bad. Simple solution - get 3 (or 4) sharpie pens and colour

Nature-Throid New formulation hypo symptoms?
After being remarkably well for over a year in Nature-Throid I started feeling unwell after a Christmas. I started a new batch of tablets around that time. My Medichecks results have shown a rising TSH from 0.04 to 2.25 ( 0.27-4.2)and a falling T3 from 6.5 down to 5 (3.1-6.8) T4 14.8 down to 10 (12-20

My Epic Come-back after a cold!
So, 6 days off, coughing and feeling sorry for myself, just after completing W8 R1. Decided to take my 14 year old son with me, which was good and bad.... W8 R2: Sarah my trainer took 10 minutes off (randomly), luckily I had downloaded Runkeeper, which told me I'd done 20 minutes just as Sarah was

Coughing and mucus build up remedy!!!!
Hi all, I just thought I’d share an amazing patch that helped T with mucus build up in his throat due to swallowing problems. It’s called SCOPODERM (Hyacinth) patches, it was prescribed by the Hospice Nurse. In the box it says that it’s for nausea and dizziness BUT they have discovered that it works

Saw you on the BBC today.
Hi All, Saw the IBS network on the BBC this morning, so thought I'd come and say hello. I suffered from IBS for many years it obliterated me from my mid to late twenties until my mid thirties. I lost a lot of my life through anxiety of being petrified of 'accidents' whilst out and about. I'm now

Would you share your experience of Rehab Units Please?
Hi All, I'm new here. This is my very first post in my life! Please be patient with me. After a Road Traffic Accident and a serious head injury I was left without any support or help whatsoever from my GP and other NHS Agencies for many years. I lost my job and any quality of life. I've read about

Yellow soft paraffin - update
Thank you everyone for your comments about the paraffin cream. I queried their usage of it and one of the nurses followed through, checked with pharmacy, and now Southampton General will NOT be using yellow paraffin for patients on oxygen! Thanks again everyone, without your support I might not have

Coby breathed on his own again...
Coby breathed on his own again today during his three-4 hour surgery and as far as I know is still breathing on his own. His knee is completely fixed as shown below 😁😁 and now we are waiting to see if he’ll wake up soon. I’m pretty sure they’ll keep the ventilator in for a couple extra days seeing

Yellow soft paraffin BP
Hi, I've come across something this week which may help other oxygen users, maybe you l know this, but I didn't so just in case it helps someone else, I'm posting here. Yellow soft paraffin BP can be used as a lip salve when using oxygen. It is fantastic, the closest I've come to a lip balm and very
