When is surgery necessary?
For the last few years I've had very heavy periods - annoying, but manageable. For the last 12 months I've had really bad bloating in my stomach on and off - annoying, but manageable. For most of last year I had an on/off dull ache near my left ovary - annoying but manageable. Since November the dull

Cervical stump? Vaginal cuff? Where’s my ovary and vagina cancer??
👋 I’m a little confused. I have had a hysterectomy 2 years ago and was told I had my uterus, cervix, and tubes removed, but ovaries left. This was because they suspected I adenomyosis however biopsy showed I didn’t have it. (Have been diagnosed with endo previous but on bowl, bladder, walls, floor).

Anybody opted for a hysterectomy, but had to choose between a good quality life, over having children?
As my title pretty much says. I'm finding it hard to decide. The desire to be a mum, or choose to have a life pain free. I'm still holding on to that hope, but being in my forties, it's hard an chances are low. I sometimes read on here, that some ladies, still endo back. Not only that, but do you get

MBC and libido
Im 47 w ER+ mbc. I love my husband dearly but have no desire to be intimate anymore. I had a full hysterectomy and am on letrozole which I know is where the problem lies. Is there anything out there that might help? I miss my husband and our intamcy.

Bowel obstruction after debulking surgery
I was all set to start chemo on Thursday after getting colonoscopy this morning. Unfortunately they found an obstruction. I had complete hysterectomy and debulking surgery 3.5 weeks ago. Getting a barium enema tomorrow to find out more where obstruction is. This is so discouraging as I just feel like

How to decide whether to have a hysterectomy
Hi, I'm newly diagnosed with stage 4 endo including 6 cm cyst and endo on anterior rectal wall. I've seen a private Dr who has advised I'd need surgery rather than just trying hormone treatment and my options are either a lap to remove what they can or a full hysterectomy. I'm 45, so fertility isn't

Test tomorrow - what about HRT?
Hi all. I’m having my Medichecks blood test done tomorrow morning. I stopped all supplements two weeks ago. I took my thyroxine as normal last night and won’t take any tonight. But what should I do about my HRT? Can I take that as normal this morning and tonight? I have progesterone, estrogen and testosterone

Large Fibroids and upcoming surgery
I have read a few things on here about fibroids and what you all been through. I have had a difficult journey with doctors to get here, they have messed up and in so many words admitted it. I have surgery to have a total hysterectomy, I am really struggling with this. Has anyone else had a hysterectomy

Do other sufferers feel like they have broken bones for long periods of time?
Most of my pain is concentrated in my feet and lower legs. At times I feel like my toes are broken bones even though I am able to bend them, but mostly I feel like my skin is too tight and or have a burning sensation or feel like my skin is crawling with a parasite. I am getting used to the cramps and

Stressed before surgery
I'm in the USA, FL. So my husband got laid off in Dec which means no insurance. But luckily his old employer is paying for 3 months of health insurance. I was so worried that I wasn't going to get the hysterectomy. I have polyps, fibroids, thickened uterine lining and pre cancerous cells. I think

Sertraline for menopause
I was diagnosed with a borderline tumour in June 21 following a total
abdominal
hysterectomy
. My consultant doesn't want me to take oestrogen so HRT is out of equation. My GP has prescribed Sertraline for flushes. I started them today and have had nausea and a little bit of running to loo.

Agonising bowel cramps post hysterectomy
Hi there, is this something that will ease with time as my bowel learns how to work again? I has endo removed from my bowel at the same time as hysterectomy so could this be why I'm suffering such pain 3 weeks on? X
