Hysterectomy for Adenomyosis
Hi I’ve finally received a call from the hospital to say my hysterectomy will be going ahead in 3 weeks time. I feel so relieved but also starting to panic as I still haven’t decided if I should have my ovaries removed or keep them. My consultant recommends I remove them but I really don’t want to

Help and advice please
Having graduated last August I now run 2 or 3 times a week and am pleased that I am able to manage 40 minutes comfortably. Feel pretty fit. However, I am having a hysterectomy on Wednesday and I am really worried about how long it will take me to get back to running (or even walking!) after the op. Is

Hi I'm 33 and just been diagnosed with fibroids. They said they are small but are causing heavy periods clotting etc. When I went to the gyno he suggested hysterectomy straight away, I'd only been at the appointment 5 mins when I looked at him shocked and said I wasn't keen he got very short with me

Embarrassing facial hair after hysterectomy
I had my full hysterectomy three years ago, age 33 and since then have had really embarrassing facial hair under my chin. I wax it off, but I’d rather just not have it 😞 I can only take tibolone HRT, due to my age… has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any tips? It just makes me feel so

Praying for you
I hope it’s benign, or very early stage. If you are finished having children, you may want to consider a total Hysterectomy…… 🙏

Bowel glued together and severe stricture in colon.
I'm reaching out to ask about pain relief and help with debilitating bowel issues. My bowel is completely glued together with adhesions and I have significant narrowing of my colon. Here's my story ... I had a complete hysterectomy and ovaries removed about 13 years ago (age 36) due to stage 4 endometriosis

Post hysterectomy adhesions and nerve damage
I had a hysterectomy when I was 33 and 3 years on, I have excruciating pain and swelling. The GP has told me it’s adhesions and nerve damage and that it’s basically a chronic pain condition now and just needs to be managed. They tried me on several pain meds and we landed on pregabalin, which helps the

Effects of pain vs effects of meds
After a full hysterectomy three years ago, I’m struggling with nerve damage (caused by 15 years of undiagnosed endo) and excessive internal scar tissue, all causing excruciating pain. The GP keeps increasing my doses of pregabalin, which helps the pain (until I get used to it and need a higher dose),

Endo and adenomyosis with bad gastro symptoms?
Hello, I've been experiencing severely painful periods - pain starting at ovulation and getting increasingly worse up to my period, together with nausea, diarrhea, dizzy spells just before period. My first gynae suspects endo and adenomyosis from the ultrasound, and put me on Prostap3 and Tibolone

Please any advice
Hi all, I had a full hysterectomy on Sept 2019 due to re occurring endometriosis and ovarian cysts. I had many key hole surgeries to remove both. The last key hole before my hysterectomy was performed by a lady doctor who I specifically had said I didn't want her to touch me as she had told me she wasn't
