Abdominal hysterectomy

I am 45 and had a total abdominal hysterectomy with ovary removal 2 weeks ago and am waiting to hear the pathology results for the Stage and next treatment steps.

I had a total abdominal hysterectomy (including ovaries) earlier this week and the surgery also involved separating my bowel from PoD (I think).

Hi there, I am 5 weeks post abdominal hysterectomy. I had uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes and ovaries out and it was quite a lengthy op. I have been up and down pain wise but not more than expected, however I thought by 5 weeks it would have eased??

Hi all, I'm booked in for a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy next month and wondered if anyone will check my hormone levels as part of the follow up? I've been on Prostap injection for 2months now (due my 3rd this week) and have gained a stone already.

also how long did it take you to start feeling more human after a full abdominal hysterectomy? I appreciate it might be quite rare to have had both laparoscopic and abdominal surgery all in one go but any advice and opinions would be really helpful.

I was initially diagnosed in October 2021 with stage 4 HGSOC and had 6 rounds of carbotaxol with a total abdominal hysterectomy and omentectomy after the 3rd cycle.

She had her surgery today for total abdominal hysterectomy and they removed a tumour the size of a melon. The cancer nurse specialist has already been round and confirmed it is cancerous but they are sending it off for grading? What is grading? They have left her womb in but we aren’t sure why.

I’m scheduled for an abdominal hysterectomy in the new year, and having a six month course of zoladex before this. Thanks so much for reading!

So she’s having total abdominal hysterectomy and they will biopsy after and also biopsy her lymph nodes to check they’re clear.

I had a total abdominal hysterectomy in addition to chemotherapy with Taxol/Carboplatin, then Zegula for maintenance. My CA125 dropped down to 11, but 4 months later at my checkup, that number shot up. Legions were found at the back end of my colon, on my liver, and on my psoas muscle.

Had a abdominal hysterectomy and kept my ovaries in Early March, was put into chemical menopause with Prostap SR which really messed me up. The drug caused me to be extremely depressed/anxious. As well as thyroid/heart/ kidney issues.

She has a whole series of gentle yoga specifically for post hysterectomy/post abdominal surgery recovery. I have found it helpful and it’s good that it’s very specific. Anyway just wanted to share. I’ll put one link here but she has lots from week 1-12 of recovery building up. hope it helps!
