Hi there, is this something that will ease with time as my bowel learns how to work again? I has endo removed from my bowel at the same time as hysterectomy so could this be why I'm suffering such pain 3 weeks on? X

Agonising bowel cramps post hysterectomy
I'm 3.5 weeks post op for hysterectomy and still having these bowel cramps - they stop me in my tracks and I can't speak. I've been assured it's normal. However, if youre concerned then ring the ward you were discharged from and ask for advice
Are you having normal bowel movements? Sorry to hear you are suffering I’m currently waiting for bowel surgery and hoping it will stop my pain not make it worse so I am concerned however I feel I have nothing to lose being in the pain I am now isn’t liveable. Hope your symptoms improve xx
I'm so sorry you're suffering so much. I was in the same position, we don't make this decision lightly but the hope of a better quality of life spurs us on. My bowel movements aren't regular and are painful in addition to the cramps, but after having so much done inside of me I guess it's not surprising it takes a while to heal. Sending lots of love and prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery ❤ 🙏
I’m waiting as well, supposed to have been the 4th, but cancelled last week due to covid. Feel exactly the same way. Been to A&E twice in Dec, they have tried to help, but nothing really works. The meds have helped sometimes 🤞 surgery comes soon. Mine is mainly colorectal with Gynae input, personally I think they want to check as no prior colorectal involvement and I was diagnosed very late, as long as it’s done I don’t care 😂
Hi. Sorry you’ve got this pain. I had it something similar and found buscopan helped in the weeks after my hysterectomy. It does pass - think mine eased after a month or so but I’m not sure mine was as bad as what you seem to be experiencing. Perhaps an email to the endo nurse to see what they say / recommend?
