prostap hrt and hysterectomy
Hi I’m looking for some advice, I’ve always suffered with my periods since starting them. I’ve tried lots of different contraceptives and found I’m really sensitive. I’ve had 3 children and don’t plan to have any more. I had an ablation done in 2021 which reduced bleeding but made pain more intense

Blood in urine
Hi all I’m a type 2 diabetic, age 62, previous hysterectomy. I get recurring water infections and often the dipstick shows that up and nearly as many times I’m told no infection. I class myself as having painful bladder syndrome though that’s never been confirmed. My question today is that often along

Pressure on bladder - non typical uti symptoms
Last week, my mum started feeling sore "down there" She started getting up for a wee, a couple of times in the night. She doesn't have burning when urinating, and is passing normal amounts of urine. What she mainly feels is a pressure feeling in her groin...which is worse just after a wee. It seems

Life after hysterectomy
Hello, I have been to see my consultant and he has given me a couple of options going forward one being a full hysterectomy. After 27 years I am wanting something a little more permanent. My question is how have people got on after a hysterectomy, has this totally relieved your symptoms or do you still

Add back hrt with Zoladex
Hi all, just after a bit of support/others’ experiences… I had my 3rd Zoladex last week and over the last 2 weeks menopause symptoms (muscle/joint ache, severe fatigue, palpitations etc) have kicked me hard. Previously prescribed Tibolone but massive headaches middle of the night so I tried to persevere

Post menopause, pernicious anaemia and endometriosis
Diagnosed with endomeriosis over 15 years years ago, had Prostap injections for 6 months, with little success and opted to try Mirena Coil first before hysterectomy. Mirena was a god send for me, it was great at controlling my symptons, I've had 3 mirena coils in total. The first one for a year

Should my Thyroxine be put down?
Hello all, I've just had my latest results and my doctor has lowered my Thyroxine from 100mg to 75mg. Does that seem right? I feel very unwell and I'm putting on weight despite suffering from severe nausea, so I am definitely not over-eating. I'm 49-year-old woman who was diagnosed with an underachieve

Help! Consultant appt brought forward....
Brief background, I had my 2nd laparoscopy on 31 August. Big fibroid squashing everything and stage 4 endometriosis....couldn't do anything because fibroid taking up so much room. And worry is endo infiltration of bowels. Pouch of Douglas 'obliterated'. Doc mentioned hysterectomy which freaked me out

Constant pain down below and heavy feeling.
Please bare with me as this must be a common post!I have endo in uterus muscle, pouch of Douglas and on ligaments and on my bowel. Also had a 5cm endometrioma. I'm in pain most of the time from my endometrioma and bowel but used to get about 5to 7 days of less pain after my period in my other areas.

Best apps for tracking cycle after hysterectomy
Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for useful apps for tracking your cycle after a hysterectomy? Back in Feb i had a hysterectomy and a small bowel resection, they left both ovaries. The recoveries not gone to plan. Was meant to be able to run/start yoga again after the 3 month

Options?
Endometriosis formally diagnosed via laparoscopy 2023, however had no effect and still in chronic pain. Due to other medical issues can’t go on any contraceptives and HRT. Tried the Decapaptyl (GNRH) injections but bleed 24/7 with them?! Endo BGSE specialist has said there are no other options as hysterectomy
