Full of Relief
Hi everyone I’m Wanda and I’m new to the group. My story began when I was 35 years old and my doctor informed me that my uterus was enlarged and I had fibroids and I should think of having a hysterectomy. Feeling as I would be left unwhole I threw the idea on the back burner because I was never bothered

Hysterectomy experience?
Hello All Wondering if anyone minds sharing any experience of having had a hysterectomy. I’m currently leaning towards this as a treatment option. I know of the difficulties in trying to get it done (I’m still in child bearing years - although just about) and only have one child. I’ve already had

Alternative treatment
Hello, I was diagnosed with endometriosis over 20 years ago and had laser surgery to remove what they could and had my cervix quarterized. I've had 2 children and symptoms were manageable for a while. However over the last year things have been bad, daily pain and bleeding. I've had scans and been diagnosed

I had a full
abdominal
hysterectomy
at the age of 38 because of a huge fibroid and extremely low blood count and was left with 1 ovary. I am really struggling with getting back to the swing of things.

Treatment options post children
What options have people been given for treatment once they have completed their family? I’m currently on mini pill and I’m bleeding around 24/25 days in a month. Can’t take the other pill, implant or injection. Marina Coil was painful and caused frequent bleeding too. Was on zoledex and hoping to go

Bowel prep for hysterectomy
I am due to have my hyster in 1.5weeks time as luckily its been bought forward.. I was wondering if bowel prep was given to anyone before a hysterectomy as a necessity...I haven't been asked to do one nor given one... I don't want to turn up on the day and then have my surgery cancelled because of not

Period pains a year after total abdominal hysterectomy....
I had a TAH a year ago and not all the time but just some times I get what feels like a period pain. Obviously I know I can’t have periods and I have no ovaries but it’s just that sensation of feeling like I’m going to have a period. I haven’t been to the docs yet. Has anyone else experienced this

Hyperparathyroidism??
My T-scores are -2.8. I also have severe erosive osteo-arthritis. My question: how can I test that one of my parathyroid glands is (or is not) overactive (hyperparathyroidism) and therefore makin too much PTH hormone which then causes our bones to release calcium constantly into the blood stream. Another

Swollen mons pubis and labia after TAH
It'll be 2 weeks tomorrow since my total abdo hysterectomy with 16.5cm bikini cut. I kept my ovaries. I have swelling in my belly which many people mention. But I also have swelling in my mons pubis and labia majora. I sometimes get mild pricking pain in the labia which I assume is nerves coming back
