My results are the best they have ever been so being on 100 Levo and taking B12 injections, B vits, P5P, Riboflavin B2 high dose (for migraines), zinc, vit C, probiotics, ashwagandha, evening primrose, magnesium & Vit D & K2 oral spray & selenium seems to be doing the trick.
I take 3 sprays of Better You oral Vit D which is supposed to give me 3000iu of Vit D & K2 so I thought my levels would be higher. I take the max. dose but I'm thinking of taking maybe double this, does anyone have any advice?
My folate looks ok but on the low end event though my B vits have methylfolate in them, do you think I should supplement separately with this to get my levels up? I'm scared to death of getting anemia again as it was the worst feeling in the world.
My Ferritin is on the high end but I don't supplement with iron. Does anyone have any thoughts? Is it to do with my high B12 level?
Presumably you stopped your vitamin B complex a week before blood test?
If so Folate likely to be a bit higher
Vitamin D. You can get 3000iu spray without vitamin K2 in it from Better You. perhaps take one 3000iu spray and one or two of 1000iu spray per day. Aiming for at least around 80nmol
As you have Hashimoto's Are you on strictly gluten free diet?
FT3 is still low. You are poor converter.
Is it improving?
Getting vitamin D higher may help
You may eventually need higher dose Levothyroxine or the addition of small dose of T3
Saw mention in previous posts of propranolol, this can affect conversion.
I stopped the B vits about 4 days before my test and I try to be gluten free most of the time. My Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies have reduced down from 33.33 in Jan 2017 to 10.7 in Aug 19. It's the first time they have ever shifted. The Anti-Thyroglobulin Abs have reduced down from 41.84 in Jan 2017 to 35 in Aug 19. My Free T3 in Jan 17 was 4.76 and it is now 4.58 so it's dropped slightly which is disappointing.
I'll try the Vit D recommendation and I'm not on Propranolol any more but I have started back on the Amitryptyline for migraines amongst other things.
There's no way my GP will consider giving me T3 as they don't even test for it so I may have to order it privately. However I did try it when I was first diagnosed but didn't feel like it did anything (bearing in mind I didn't even know about the nutrient deficiencies at the time).
Hi SlowDragon, I can ask but earlier in the year my GP reduced my Levo to 75mg saying I was taking too much! I had to beg to be put back up to 100mg. Do you know where I can order T3 from? Can you please PM me if you do? It's worth a try to see if I feel any better. Jo x
