No support from GP - need to change meds
Hi everyone and Merry Christmas! This is my first post to the forum and I'm sorry it's quite a long one. I'm hoping that someone can advise me about a change of medication. I've had RLS since a teenager (now in my 50s). I augmented on Pramipexole about 5 years ago and went through hell to stop. I tried

Gabapentin and Tramadol. Something is making me feel very nervous and panicky
I am taking 300 mg. of Gabapentin at 8 p.m. and 600 mg. at 10, with 5 to 10 mg. Tramadol to help with augmentation after getting off ropinirole. This was a dosage I was taking when my GP increased it twofold to 600 mg. at 8 and 900 mg. at 10. I had an episode of about the same feeling and on my own decreased

Hello from the newby
Hello. I was diagnosed just over thirty years ago after feeding extreme pain all over my body. I have an injury in my leg caused by football, where a piece of my bone fractured and as I grew up, it grew out. I had an operation called an Exostosis Removal of the bone and just in time too as it was going

Withdrawal update
Tonight I have taken my last .25mg Roprinirole. I may do as one member on here suggested and begin taking just one half of that dose for another week or two. I am upping my Pregabalin tomorrow to 100 mg daily. I also take 4x50mg Tramadol daily. The maths of it all are going OK but when does this

Tramadol - how often do you take it?
I've been taking tramadol for the past couple of years, but very I infrequently, not even once a week really. Lately though my endometriosis pain is worse, and also sciatica. I asked my GP how often I can safely take it, and she pretty much said however often I want. Daily if needed 😕 I'm worried about

Swapping Gabapentin for Pregabalin
Can I just ask a question regarding swapping 1200 Gabapentin taken in two doses (7pm and 9pm) for Pregabalin, which has stopped working for me. I also take, most nights, 50mg Tramadol. My doctor has agreed to the swap, however, says I will need to wean off the Gabapentin before taking Pregabalin. I

AF, Warfarin, and Tramadol
Hiya guys and gals, I posted on here a while back about shoulder pain, sleepless nights et al. Many, many of you gave me some great insights for which I am grateful. I think the general consenus supported my GP's view that this pain wasn't so much AC joint related but tendon/rotator cuff related. I

Two nights in a row Gabapentin hasn’t worked, why??
After 2 weeks off of the pramipexole I think I’m safe in saying I’m done with it. I did the weaning from 1 mg to eventually .125 mg. But now 2 nights in a row the gabapentin isn’t working. I take 1 - 300 mg gabapentin and 2 - 50 mg of tramadol around 2-3 pm then around 8 pm, 2 - 300 mg gabapentin

Chronic pain university study
Have you suffered from chronic pain and have been prescribed long-term opioid medication as a result of this? I’m conducting a research project at the University of Derby, which is exploring the experiences of individuals who have been on opioid medication for at least six months or longer due to chronic

Has anyone knowledge /experience with Quinine for RLS?
My RLS continues even with Gabapentin 1500 nightly , Tramadol 200 nightly , zopiclone and CBD gelcaps. I recently saw an internist who prescribed quinine nightly. I read that is not recommended by the FDA for RLS or leg cramps . I don’t want to take it but I’m wondering does any one else have experience

Pregabalin **Update from previous post **
I will copy and paste previous post and update accordingly. Been suffering severe RLS for over two years since stopping pregabalin very abruptly in February 2020 (which I regret) for anxiety. Prior to that had adverse reaction to Lorazepam (January 2020). Was also on Mitazipine (stopped May 2020) and

Feeling full???
Hi I have a adenomyosis diagnosis and finally on the waiting list for a hysterectomy. Does anyone else get realllllllllly bloated after eating? I feel like as soon as I eat anything, I'm ready to burst out of my clothes, even if I haven't even that much. Anyone else? Just always interesting to hear

Tramadol and Nefopam
I’m awaiting a PKR and MRI results on the other; I am in agony! Been on Tramadol for 2 years but pain got worse so GP prescribed Nefopam for when especially severe. Has anyone been prescribed Tramadol and Nefopam together? When I requested more a different GP told me I should never have been prescribed
