tramadol does it work: Hi , Merry Xmas... - Restless Legs Syn...
tramadol does it work
Unfortunately, no drugs will be effective for RLS unless and until you get off the Pramipexole.Once Pramipexole is out of your system, other drugs will be effective.
Most people use tramadol to help them through the last month of Pramipexole withdrawals.
How are you getting on? What dose of Pramipexole have you reduced to so far?
About a month before the last dose, you can start taking pregabalin and then by the time you're off Pramipexole, the pregabalin will have built up in your system.
It's hell on earth, but once off these Pramipexole, your RLS will be less intense and affect you in the evenings rather than all day.
If pregabalin doesn't help, there are other drugs that work well.
And do make sure your serum ferritin is above 250 as it will help lessen augmentation a little and may help your RLS.
If you can get medical cannabis, that also helps during the withdrawal.
Merry Christmas.
I hope you get some peaceful nights.
Tramadol works… But after eight years, it was a year of absolute hell weaning off when augmentation set in. Just started Suboxone, it is a miracle… only through Gods Grace. Two strips (8 mg.), in my mouth and I am RLS, and mostly pain-free (back and shoulders), for 24 hours. On hydrocodone 12 years and stopped the required 12 hours before going on buprenorphine (Suboxone). It stopped horrible withdrawal symptoms within 30 minutes and I haven’t had any sense… About a week or so. Good luck my friend… And God bless you.
Tramadol worked for me for many years .Good luck with dealing with tbe augmentation. X
Low dose tramadol worked for me for a while. But I augmented on it.
I’ve been on Tramadol for 8y. It is mostly effective in controlling my RLS. Pramipexole ropinirole and gabapentin we’re not effective and in fact made my RLS worse. For me at least, it is important to take the Tramadol before symptoms start otherwise it won’t be as effective.
Taking tramadol for over 20 years. No addiction, no augmentation. It works for me.
Me too. I use 100 mgs of Lyrica and 100 mgs of Tramadol 3x a day and it works very well.
