Fluid retention
How do you get rid of fluid retention in a hypo state? I have been so so good this week trying to lose weight by low carb/protein but got on the scales and have not moved. I can poke my tummy and it wobbles ! Before I got ill, I could do the low carb way for a few weeks and I was back under 9 stone

Hi! Tried to update profile twice. Does HealthUnlocked not like iPads or does iPad not like HealthUnlocked? Anyhoo..... Here for the same reasons as the rest! I have early "annoying" symptoms, but not life changing at the moment. I did start Azilect 0.5mg about 3 weeks ago hoping to help the Micrographia

I had my bloods checked and my thyroxine has been lowered to 175ml. my c.o.p.d status has changed to a co2 retainer and I now spend 6hrs on
my nippy machine when sleeping and if I have a doze during the day.I feel so much better after I come off the machine , my breathing improves and my brain is clear . the nippy is a non invasive ventilation machine that expels the carbon dioxide when I breathe out and takes in the good air when I inhale

Introducing myself
Hello I’m new to this site although I posted the letter from my cousin to make you laugh like I did or at least smile. I hope that you do not feel this self-indulgent but this is the only way I can let you see why I feel as I do. In the 1970’s I fell through a trapdoor during a performance thus ending

Scared of Anti-Depressants
I gave up on anti-depressants several years ago because I disliked the side effects—increased blood pressure, nausea, weight gain,
loss
of sexual desire, drowsiness, nervousness, insomnia, blurred
vision
, etc. etc. So ten days ago, my Psych/MD prescribed me a low dosage of Wellbutrin (37.5MG).

An unbelievable 2015 ahead
******************** You will see from my profile, I suffered a BH and some

loss
in 2012, and remain at risk of a second haemorrhage. After 8 months rehabilitating following the BH ,I managed to return to work in 2013 Praise the Lord indeed!

It is quite normal for me to have blurred
vision
,
loss
of
vision
in right eye & flashing lights. However a recent migraine caused me to see a green hue, this was particularly obvious as it was snowing. I am not sure if this is a one-off thing or if the migraines are changing.

Good Early Surgery Outcome but frUstrating Warfarin management
Sorry it's taken a couple weeks to write an update on my one level spinal fusion but here it goes: my GP organized my presurgery bridging using LOVENOX. Felt like kind of a joke as my INR was only 1.5 ten days prior to surgery (my therapeutic range he agreed on is 2.5-3.5, which I only hit once since

Have you noticed you run better in bad weather ?
I had a lovely lunch time 30 min run today. The snow started but the paths were clear. I was warm and panthering. Picked up another sprint award from map my run and a pb. Fabulous 5 k. One of the first runs I really enjoyed, I wasn't that tired - shame that work called me back or I would have carried

has anyone tried coenzyme q10 for copd or IPF help?
I wondered how you found it if so. I came across this link which is why I am asking. It says Pao2 was significantly improved by taking it, and if that's right, many here may be interested in finding out more. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8241703
