Weight loss surgery
Morning all My GP has refered me for weight loss surgery. I have been thinking this is the only path that will work for me now for some time and I was suprised to have his support after years of health professionals telling me to loose weight, as though it's that easy. I would love to hear from others

Happy New Year - PIP
New year, new fight. After a year of closed doors and every place I went to saying they could not help - funding, staff, not sure of how to... GGRRRR! I have decided to try for the PIP. Everything I have read tells me the first step is to call the DWP. The call is the easy bit, after that, what do

Aha!
Finally looked up pace and speed and understand what that's all about! So if I really want to know how fast I run I need to not count in any warm up/warm down walks. Hmmm.... with my old stopwatch and desktop version of MapMyRun that makes it a bit harder to be really accurate, although I didn't count

Hashimoto's - finding a job
I really need some advice. About three years ago I had spinal fusion surgery in my lower back (they had to go through the stomach). I was off work but had been taking time off work anyway for a list of other problems - from migraines, fatigue, extreme brain fog etc. It took two years for me to recover

B12
Hi . I have fibro. I also had bariatric surgery nearly 2 years ago. They keep an eye on my b12 levels as it is a side effect of the surgery. My levels started at over 500 but have come down to 150. My doc will not give me any booster cos she said I am still within normal levels. I was under the impression

Weight loss surgery: has anyone considered it?
I have been considering weight loss surgery, since my benefits will cover the medical cost I am considering it for myself. I'm turning 50 next year and I don't want to continue with ailments associated with being obese, just the sound of the word makes me ill. I'm 6'2'' and weigh 320lbs, for years i

About vision problems
I also didn't have any
vision
problems when I was younger. Do you guys think this
loss
of
vision
could have been caused my APS? Also, I have been getting a lot of problems with blurred vision lately.

sugar levels & hypothyroid
Hi, is there any known link between hypothyroid and peculiar sugar levels? During my M.E existence I often feel that my sugar levels have crashed - this can be before or after eating makes no difference - sometimes they have crashed and my bloods are 1.4 for example, but today when I've had this feeling

Diabetic retinopathy , a dreaded complication of diabetes.
It can lead to
vision
loss
and/ or complete blindness. It is the least discussed issue ,which needs to be high lighted. What can be done to prevent it. And if retinopathy occurs how to detect or recognise it at an early stage.what are precautions to be taken.

Weight loss surgery
Hi everyone, the pain has been so bad this week that every time I've walked I have been weeping due to the crippling pain. I'm about 10st over weight and just feel mortified at the recluse that I have let myself get to this size. My husband and I decided that it would considerably helpful if I went
