Dizzy spells with AF
Pounding in the ears,
loss
of
vision
as in about to faint,
loss
of balance, all very frightening. But after 1 or2 seconds it clears and I'm fine, AF gone and I'm ready to go. It is as if something has cleared.

What baffles me…
Sorry, this is a whinge and I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but why are GPs seemingly so opposed to the idea that a problem may be thyroid-related, often to what feels like a bloody-minded degree? As if they're somehow invested in it being anything but thyroid? I had a phone consultation with

9 Stone to Lose at 24 Years Old. Yep.
I thought I'd introduce myself and also the extra human I'm carrying around with me. He weighs 9 stone and he's been on my back, steadily growing for my entire life. I'm 5ft 5 and I started my journey weighing in at 19st and 1lb. My ideal weight is 10st. Recently a girl I knew had weight loss surgery

Where to from here ?
As someone who has previously proffered advice, on this occasion I need some from you guys. I have longstanding acute pain issues, spanning the last 11 years. Following two serious car accidents, the pain across my limbs increased significantly over time and I went from the maximum doses of Tramadol

New to course
Went for my assessment yesterday, accepted onto course, waiting to start with dietician and physio. Downloaded week one anyway and started straight away. Wanted bariatric surgery but have to fulfil criteria by attending this course. Would love to do it without surgery will have to wait and see

I just posted this also on the Patient.co.uk/forum, but thought I would post it here too, so here goes: One of my first PMR symptoms was what I thought was a horrible cramp in my left calf, but it never went away, and was extremely painful when walking. I had recently undergone a spinal fusion, & had

Feeling downhearted.
I had a two level spinal fusion in December, 18 months after I had a disc replaced in my lower back, apart from the usual post-op pain and discomfort I felt I was doing very well. Then 10 weeks post-op I suffered a severe episode of lower back pain so bad I couldn't straighten out or get up from where
