How to manage food cravings
Chocolate cravings? Blame Theobromine: a brain stimulant which acts on fats and sugar. The solution: avoid exposure to the triggers. This article explains the science behind it, although the solutions are probably easier said than done, when we are surrounded by opportunities to look at and eat junk

My First Day
This is my first day on this diet or healthy eating plan. I have recently had a spinal fusion so at the moment I can do core strengthening exercises only. Five years ago I lost 4 stone on a drink and eat diet and was more on the too skinny chart. Now, having little exercise and eating more, I need

Kallyfudging the great Manchester parkrun south Manchester
Got to parkrun today, managed to wakeup early enough to eat something, peanut butter on toast. Also ate well yesterday in preparation. Was hoping to knock about 30 seconds off my PB. Managed to pace myself better at the start, was also listening to very over-the-top music from a game I've just started

Very first Migraine attack and headaches afterwards
This was so scary, I started to get panic attack, as I didn't knew what`s happening, blurry
vision
, even
loss
of
vision
with one eye, really bad headache, sensitivity to light, well.. you know.. It lasted for 2 days, however since then, I keep on getting random headaches daily.

Finally watched obesity: how prejudiced is the NHS
So I finally got round to watching obesity: how prejudiced is the NHS? and I'm glad I did. It boiled my blood watching some people getting knocked back for surgery until they 'lost weight' (coz it's that easy), I've had the same response throughout the last 10 years trying for a baby and my weight just

In desperate need of help - symptoms baffling everybody.
I am new here and looking for help and answers. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. I’ve not been diagnosed with coeliac but I do wonder if it's the cause of all my issues. I have myriad life altering symptoms and I'm desperately trying to get to my root cause. I’ve been really quite sick since

Levo & weight question.
I have read a lot about issues people are having with their weight. These people are often taking Levo. Have people found that taking Levothyoxine has made them gain weight, or just that it hasn't helped reverse the weight they gained through having an underactive thyroid?

So surgery...
It seems that after about 4 years I'll need to fuse my ankle. Unfortunately the subtler joint fusion I received in August didn't fuse all the way and the infection I got in November and second surgery in December to remove the screws didn't help. I recently just got a steroid shot (again) and of course

Long term nerve pain
Last week I was admitted to hospital due to a severe headache on one side of my head and partical
loss
of
vision
in my right eye. This resulted in CT scans and ended with a lumber puncture as it was suspected I had a bleed on my brain. Luckily this was clear and my pain was put down to my neck.

21 days cold turkey and never going back
Hello all. 21 days today! Cold turkey, without a doubt has been the best way for me. In the past I've tried the nicotine gum, patches, Chantix, and e cigs. None of them worked because I always had nicotine in my system and I was always craving for more. The first weeks are hard but they are supposed

RA Ankle Fusion
Hey all, So I've been dealing with RA for four years now, I'm currently 20, and I recently had a subtalor joint fusion in my right ankle. Unfortunately my hardware in my ankle got infected and they took it out. We're unsure if there was a nonfusion. The fusion doesn't seem to be working though, the past

Wet AMD Dried Up
Nowadays it sees to be a case of "if and when required" even at the risk of sudden leakage and more scarring and hence more

. It has possibly something to do with cost-cutting. Anyway, I am glad to have a break from those awful injections; I just hope I do not pay for it later.
