TREATMENT IS NOT A CURE!
I am accepting of the future final full
loss
of
vision
in my CRVO eye - but am a little depressed that I feel that I have had to make this decision on my own about ceasing injections.

Hello everyone. I’m 37 and 19st 2lbs. I was 23st 8lbs but plateaued at this Weight for what seems like forever. I feel like I’m on a hamsters wheel and can’t get off. Ive dealt with my comfort eating through CBT, and understand why I do it. I’m pleased to say that I rarely binge and do that now. My main

Migraine headaches and loss of vision
I was recently requested to reduce my thyroxine medication the reason being I was over stimulated. I had a total thyroidectomy in1984 and my medication has never altered until now. I am now having migraines blurred vision and flashing lines everyday and am getting scared to drive just in case I get one

A Rant
Earlier in the year, I was offered the chance to place a bet on losing weight from William Hill bookmakers. I would aim to lose 2lbs a week for 52 weeks, so 104lbs in total which is a shade under 7 and a half stone. It would be a sensible, calorie controlled diet with sensible exercise and nothing more

Reducing Pred and possible side effects
I've had PMR for 10 years and GCA for 7 years. With fairly recent GCA episodes over these years I've fluctuated on pred between 5mg and 80mg. Vicious circle familiar to many as you get low on pred then a GCA outbreak and up goes the pred and the slow journey down. Early episodes of GCA responded to 60mg

PREDNISONE TAPER AND DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY
The literature shows that this virus can make itself known again in 2 years after initial recovery with joint pain and Neuro problems, including temporary
loss
of
vision
in one eye . I had tapered to 8 mg. when the temporary
vision
loss
occurred and took it upon myself to go back up to 16mg.

TT and weight gain!
I am at the end of my tether, to the point it is depressing me. I recently had my dose of Levo 125mg increased to 150mg after complaining to my GP that I had gained excessive weight and was tired all the time. I have been taking the 150mg for the last 4 weeks and it’s not made much of a change. I am

Hi Everone I’m new here, have been smoking (with a few quits here and there, the longest being 6 months about six years ago!) and have tried everything - cold turkey, zyban, Champix twice!, hypnotherapy, patches, gum, lozenges, vaping - to quit. At 52, I’m about to embark on another effort. I’ve ordered

Diagnosis at last but feeling scared 🙁
I do have one question today if anyone can offer any advice....I had my eyes examined on Saturday and found that I have a pale retina with considerable
vision
loss
in my left eye. In particular my periferral
vision
. The optician explained this was due to inflammation of my nerves from the lupus.

Don't lose hope thyroid sufferers and a huge thank you to this life saving community
Dear community I want to say thank to everyone I've met on this forum. Whether it's been advice given, info I've gleaned from other posts & investigated to help me further understand. I've never been on hormone treatment before and now been on NDT for 6/7 weeks. It's making a real difference & I can
