RL sleeping pattern
Hi, my dad is 83 suffered with RL most of his life. We have just detoxed him from a very nasty medication, pramipaxil. He has gone on to gabapentine and is now taking 900mg. He is free of RL during the day. At night the gabapentine is not making him sleepy but the need to move is so great it takes

Daith's 4 months on!
Well here we are no further forward than I was in January! My daith's are still in place but apart from looking nice are of no use to my headache's as chocolate is for a teapot! I myself have since seen a neurologist who has put me on another epileptic drug called sodium Valproate Zentiva, to be taken

My wife diagnosed with PSP for several years has all sort of problems associated with a loss of muscular control for respiration, elocution, swallowing etc...She is also more and more often biting her tongue which may cause severe pains. I came across a device, the Mandibular Advancement Splint (MAS)

Clonazepam & dementia?
Has anybody come across research, or indeed findings, concerning a link between benzodiazepines and dementia? Many of us have been prescribed Clonazepam as treatment for RLS or (as in my case) PLMD. I'm assuming that, if any credence is given to this speculated link, either one's GP would be aware of

Lupus and Sleep apnea
Please can anyone help I have been given a CPAP machine and I have tried 4 masks each keep lifting off my face, so no seal and the air pumps hard into my face, persevering but so so tired. Worried as the Lupus has damaged my right lung, could that be stopping the machine inflating my windpipe? Been so

sleep apnoea and driving license
Hi there, I've been diagnosed with sleep apnoea (OSA) since oct 2015 and been on a CPAP machine since nov 2015. I have notified the DVLA as per the advice of my sleep apnoea clinic and been told by the DVLA that I have to return my driving license and have it changed to a 3 yearly license instead. Note

When it all goes wrong I start to worry
Having one of those "is it all worth it" days! October: exacerbation closely followed by another in November. Sleep study arranged in December and sleep apnoea diagnosis in January. February got off to a good start, found a mask that sort of worked, CPAP doing the job and right up to yesterday all was

Imipramine and restless leg syndrome
I have been taking imipramine for quite a few years now. It doesn't seem as effective as it did when I first started taking it. Does anyone else take imipramine for Rls? My mum suffers also but she has been prescribed gabapentin.
