When I close my eyes, I panic.
I was recently traumatized by an event that took place a few weeks ago. Ever sense then when I close my eyes, I get this weird feeling throughout my body. It feels as if I'm panicking. I have to then open my eyes because I am unable to keep them closed any longer. It feels like I have a fear that something

Going to stop taking the Mirtazapine
The one and only benefit I believe I had from taking this 15mg pill at bedtime was that it DID increase my appetite... Approx. 40 to 50% of the nights I slept OK without taking any Unisom or my .5 Ativan... but lately I am having trouble sleeping and the nightmares (since the Mirtazapine) have been getting

Doctors sometimes write the most unhelpful comments
One of my symptoms is that I don't seem to need sleep but sometimes during the day I shut down for 5 to 10 minutes. All that happens is when I sit down at lunch time, mid afternoon or early evening, I switch off for about 10 minutes. I don't feel tired or yawn it is just like someone pressed the off

Hi All, Thanks for replying to my post re: cardiac catheterisation. I'm having the procedure done for diagnostic reason for now. I'm hoping my arteries will be such that I don't need stents or such things! Ablation for me is a while down the track. I'm also hoping the procedure doesn't effect the heart

Anyone get RLS as a withdrawal symptom trying to ween off Mirapex or another Dopamine agonist?
I try to wean off Pramipexole (Mirapex) periodically and my body does not let me do it.. I get RLS - either from withdrawal -OR- I got RLS since I started taking Mirapex and did not know it until trying to eliminate it. I wish I never started taking the sh*t. I believe it is highly addictive. Anyone

Clonazepam, benzodiazepines & alternatives.
Maybe a naive question, but having benefitted from clonazepam for a year or so my plmd is now increasingly resistant. Is this resistance specific to clonazepam or is it likely to be generic to any other benzodiazepine I might try as an alternative? If I've had it with benzodiazepines, what SRIs or dopamine

Fibromyalgia
Hi everyone. I have had fibro for many years now and was never given the right kind of meds to help me deal with it better so I could cope so I changed doctors and finally I feel like I'm getting the help I need, even if every visit results in having yet another blood test. I have just recently been

Day 4 of nature-throid switched from tirosint
Hi I just switched to naturethroid from tirosint 4 days ago and I actually feel a little worse than I did as far as I'm more fatigued and my head and eyes hurt slightly. I had hopes that I'd feel better. Is this normal? I do know my t3 was at the lower end of normal and I do have low iron/ferratin when

Saw palmetto capsules
Hi since I was diagnosed as hypothyroid, I have lost more & more of my hair on the top & sides of my head, and it was becoming a real problem. My mother (also hypo like me) has the same problem and her hair is terribly thin. I did some research on line, and for a month have been taking 1000mg saw palmetto

New Labs – Good Numbers, But Still Not Feeling Well
Hi All, I just had some new labs done. The numbers look good, except for maybe a little bit high FT4. These labs were done after 7 weeks on 150mcgs on Levoxyl: TSH 1.260 (0.450 – 4.5) FT4 1.71 (0.82 – 1.77) FT3 3.5 (2.0 – 4.4) I think I've lost a pound or two in

Compounds that prevent a-syn misfolding
This is a list of the best compounds with the ability to reach the human brain and have been shown in test tube or animal research to slow or stop the accumulation of misfolding a-Syn. The first 4 have the added evidence that they work in humans by epidemiological studies. Most of the other compounds

A Good "natural" nights sleep.
Good Morning All, Pinch and a Punch for the first of the month. Pleased to report after taking the "Sleep Aid " tablets bought from "Savers" for 2 nights I gave them a miss last night and had a good night. Woke once but straight back off and then awake at my normal time of 5.45. Years of getting

Pramiprexole & mirtazapin & PLMW.
What experiences have people had with pramiprexole and/or mirtazapin? Both are in prospect for my plmd and before I make my mind up about either I'd like a little personal data. Re PLMD. I've had it now for a little over a year. I self-diagnosed in the first instance and then had my diagnosis confirmed

Exaggerated claims about treatment effectiveness
A lot of doctors will tell patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and also those with FND that Graded Exercise Therapy (where exercise is gradually increased in small increments, usually guided by a physiotherapist or occupational therapist) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy are effective treatments

World upside Down.
I have a bad bad sleeping pattern. I become complacent and my whole pattern is disrupted. I sleep during the day and wake up at night. And today I tried to sleep at night and I keep waking up in the night after every few hours without any bad dreams just panicky. It happens for Weeks every time. Today

A little good news for a change
For all those struggling with CBD and especially those with an Alien hand. I got fed up removing Bills hand from his neck especially as he will not let me cut his nails. He was getting sore from the constant attacks from his own hand. So, being as I love to crochet, I made him an adult equivalent of
