I have suffered from hasimotos for about 20 years. In the last year I could feel and see my thyroid gland swelling and it use to hurt when I use to swallow. The inflammation went up and down on different days. It was becoming worrisome as it was happening more often and it waa v uncomfortable. I started

Has anyone experienced pressure headaches and ear pain after ruptured aneurysm surgery? I'm three and and half months post surgery.
Hi all, I had a ruptured aneurysm coiled and a web device fitted in an upruptured aneurysm just over three months ago. I am having pressure round/over my head and pressure in my ears on and off for a while. Codeine takes the pain away a bit Has anyone experienced this? I'm also not sleeping. Any advice

What treatments have you had for endometriosis?
I was diagnosed with endometriosis last year after a laparoscopy and ablation. I was advised after to take the mini pill as I get migraines and can't take the combined. My symptoms kept getting worse and it was decided by me and my GP to try the Mirena coil. I had it fitted 3 weeks ago and know I need

The state of urinary iodine is not related to either TSH or Free T4
This paper shows that TSH and FT4 in blood does not reflect urinary iodine levels. This indicates the thyroid is flexible to iodine supply and is robust to limited iodine in diet.

Feeling dreadful
I was diagnosed with Graves early 2017. I got back on an even keel and was in remission for 18 months but out of the blue had a thyroid storm in July 2020. I've been on Carbimazole, Propranolol and Apixaban since then. I haven't actually seen an Endo at all. I was diagnosed when in hospital in July

Strap in. This is a doozy. My husband used some iodine solution.... I broke out like crazy after coming in contact with a single drop of it. I checked the label and it had something suspish: "Makon 8." What is that, I ask? Here is what I found. Polyethylene glycol ether. Here is a giant list of trade

Pain relievers for osteoarthritis
Thank you everyone for your replies and useful information. I’ve kept using the Tylenol with the heating pad but turned up the heat as high as I can stand it on sacral joints and hips and spent more time resting which has really helped. Going for walks is still painful but bearable. I’m going to

Dealing with muscle joint pain on Imbruvica
Imbruvica muscle joint pain I have been on imbruvica for six months and had an excellent response but am having knee pain, leg pain, ankle pain....limping around and can barely walk at times. I don't want to stop the drug. Taking prednisone 5 mg did not help nor is tylenol arthritis making a difference

Are these symptoms typical 2 weeks post op?
I had my hysterectomy 2 1/2 weeks ago. I have had my uterus, cervix and fallopian tubes removed. I lost 1/2 litre of blood during surgery so I have been given ferrous sulfate to take for a month. Blood pressure is at the lower end of ok. But still, it's ok :) I have two questions... I am feeling dizzy
