Covid Antivirals
I know some people are eligible for these. I’ve been exposed to covid and I’m pretty sure I’m about to get it, ironically for the first time also. I don’t have copd but fairly full on chronic bronchitis. I’m concerned that it’l be a rough dose . Whats the criteria for getting antivirals for covid?

Prostate Cancer Apoptosis with Beer Component Xanthahumol
The following articles are written back 15 years ago, suggesting that this natural component in beer from hops has beneficial effect on prostate cancer, as well as several other cancer types. Obviously nothing much has come of the supplement but I thought it looked interesting. It seems to cause

Valium RLS
Is anyone using Valium/diazepam or any other benzo to treat RLS? The Horizant that I’ve been using for the last year and a half isn’t working as well as it used to.

I have bladder cancer, I am 85 years old, to take out bladder is out of the question. I will have BCG first for 6 weeks and after that probably some chemo. Has anyone had this I would like to know more about it.

nebuliser recommendations?
I’m hoping to give nebulised saline a go and was wondering is there much difference in types of nebulisers? It would be for the low % saline as this hasn’t been prescribed by my consultant. Thought it may help to clear some much (chronic bronchitis) as I seem to be tied all the time lately- chest feel

Sorry if a bit long winded but I need this off my chest as I’m banging my head off the wall at the moment . I keep a very precise diary on my meds and symptoms . I have been taking pred at different doses for 8 years currently on 3mg , 10 months ago I started MTX injections currently in 10mg I hoped

Navage?
Many of us (most?) suffer from sinus issues and we have our own tools to deal with these issues. My weapons of choice are Saline spray followed by Flonase before I go to bed. Works pretty well except for right now during allergy season. However, I've been hearing many advertisements for the Navage

Cold medication
Hello, I think I may be coming down with a cold. I seldom get one and usually rely on Beecham hot lemon powders or similar. However I am now on edoxaban and Bisoprolol and I am wondering what cold medication, other than paracetamol, it is safe to take? Thanks in advance, for any advice!

thrush ahead of FET
Hi there. I’ve been on a course of 2 strong types of antibiotics due to an infection caused by an ectopic pregnancy. It has seemingly caused me to get thrush (must be connected as haven’t had thrush for about 20 years). I’m likely to be having my next FET in approximately 3 weeks so is taking an over

Almost died of flu, pneumonia and sepsis - will the fear of death go away?
Hi all, I'm so happy there's an online community for people who've been in an ICU! I'm 53 years old and prior to this thought I was really healthy. I'm a hillwalker and regularly climb large Scottish mountains. The consultants in the hospital kept referring to me as "young and fit" which does wonders

High Ferritin
I was diagnosed with NALD over a year ago. Blood tests were saying my Ferritin levels greater than 400 and ALT 61 six months ago. I was checked for Hemochromatosis which was negative. Dr said repeat blood tests in 6 months, if ferritin still high then a liver scan would be necessary. I’ve just
