Tooth Extraction with bronchiectasis and Alendronic acid
Hi Everyone! I will have to have my tooth extracted, and having bronchiectasis and taking Alendronic Acid tablets (bisphosphonate medicine), I'm petrified - especially the latter. I wonder if anyone has had tooth extractions with both, especially with Alendronic Acid. Did you have it done at a local

Has anybody bought themselves an emergency steroid injection?
I need to have a wisdom tooth out soon and am worried about the whole adrenal suppression issue. I am self medicating with 20mg hydrocortisone, for low adrenal function, and am aware that, after 5 years of doing this, I probably now have adrenal suppression (ie. my adrenals may not be able to do much

Smashed it! (Run report)
The final stretch (about 80m) was a bit weird... on slightly slippy grass, all of a sudden I had much less
traction
so the final sprint felt quite odd! I saw my wife and daughter again though before I crossed the line so that was rather nice.

New to afib
I've had Afib about 6 months following a tooth extraction. The first spell was a week of off and on days followed by a lull of about a month. Then I experienced it about twice a month until the last two weeks where it has been 2-3 times a week. Any chance it will just go away? It happens either right

Tooth extraction and antibiotics whilst taking crizotinib
My husband is taking oral crizotinib and is shortly going to have a tooth extracted. He will probably need antibiotics afterwards but we are worried about which one he will be able to have whilst taking crizotinib as we understand that a lot of antibiotics interact with this drug. Also to make things

Then I had
traction
, I never had this before, its like you lie on a bed, you are strapped in and then strapped all around. I was wondering was I in a strait jacket? So I am now stretched to the limits, in more than one way.

Being mistreated by doctors and nurses! Fibromyalgia pain and treatment...I need help
Hi everyone, So I recently went to the ER because I was having a Fibro flare and I tried to contact my gp but when I finally got through the nurse was very rude and said "if you are in that much pain go to the ER!" She sounded annoyed and said it in a yelling tone. Anyway so I went to the ER as I was

Great North Run for MPN Voice - Update
Hello - here is my latest update. I have managed two 7 mile runs this week which I am pleased with as I have backed off training in the last couple of weeks due to having my bone marrow biopsy 11 days ago (really do NOT like those) and a tooth extraction this last week. All being well, I should be back

Second start to first week
Hiya! I started C25K 4-5 weeks ago. Did the first two runs and felt great - I was even looking forward to the third run (something I NEVER thought would happen!). Then... I went and got a dental abscess. I couldn't even move my head let alone run, so there I was - going nowhere. Took around 20 days

Surgery v. Radiation - Survival

Who am I
I have been running on ice, not going anywhere and falling overtime I try to get
traction
again. I am becoming my own worst enemy and I don't know how to stop me from hating myself. I hope writing this helps me shine a light on who I am and how to put myself back together.

New here and hoping for advice.
Treated not with pins (the usual treatment these days) but with bone grafts and skeletal
traction
. The left hip was ok, the right hip has never been good and has degenerated over the years. Seven years ago I was given a total hip replacement at age 40.

Wear shoes with enough
traction
to prevent falls in snow or ice. Remember sunscreen. It's just as easy to get burned in the winter as in summer, so don't forget the SPF. Head into the wind.
