Why do i have a Resuscitation status section on my discharge letter from hospital?
I had knee surgery last week. Discharge letter had a section entitled Resuscitation Status on it (not ordered) which has never been in previous letters. On previous hospital visits prior to diagnosis of vasospastic angina this did not appear on any of my letters. Has anyone else seen this on their hospital

Subchondral Insufficiency fracture
I posted a few weeks ago about being diagnosed with this plus bone oedema. Not seen an orthopaedic surgeon yet so dont really know the prognosis apart from possible partial knee replacement. But can it repair as most fractures do? Anyone know? I have read that it can be caused by steroids (3 years on

Hi Everyone, A year ago I was diagnosed the NAFLD Cirrhosis to summarise Child Scale A, Meld 7 and well compensated. I was having an endoscopy for something else. Initially was shocked, panicked and experienced a myriad of emotions. I’ve just had a review after a year my first scan, and liver function

I have significant stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis for which I’ve had multiple surgeries including two excision and removal of left ovary and both tubes. Since my last excision I’ve been in pain every day which is now much worse as the disease returns within months of surgery even when excised

Knee massager with red light
Has anyone with osteoarthritis in knees try a personal knee massager with red light instead of knee surgery? If so did it work?

Total knee replacement. Looking for advice, guidance and wisdom.
I have a few concerns about my upcoming

surgery and would really appreciate hearing from those who have already been through this. Main concerns. 1. Does this major joint surgery impact negatively on CLL? Thats big issue. Currently in post FCR remission. 2.

Underneath the Smile!
Hello everyone! Hope you guys had an awesome Easter. 🥰 Mine started off slow after hosting an Easter Egg hunt and pageant for the kids at church. I worked hard all week so I was hurting on Easter! However, I managed 2 make it to church! As I type this, I am getting my weekly infusion of vitamins

And finally most recently having a

back to the drawing board with aches & pains
My OH was put on a 10-day course for what the doc suspected was a viral infection or a bronchial reaction to Tamsulosin. Hubby felt absolutely brilliant while taking the Pred, but since he stopped them 2 days ago, his old age aches & pains have returned. Hey ho. But so far he’s not had the return of

Red lumps on hands
Hi, Since I've started having issues with my joints (had two hip replacements at 25, arthritis in my lower lumbar spine & sacralratic joint etc) I've had these lumps appear for a couple of days (more sometimes) and then they go away for a bit. They really hurt to touch. They appear over night most of

RLS and surgery
As I have previously indicated, I take Belbuca buccal patch for my RLS. I am scheduled for hip replacement surgery in the near future. Recently I have seen several posts stating that any surgery will cause increased RLS . Honestly, I am now very concerned and anxious about this. Because I take Belbuca

Hi. I've been on HealthUnlocked for some time now and for some reason, my profile states I've not introduced myself. I've written a bio within my profile which summarises my journey with sJIA. I've had systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis for over fifty years and early on had periods of remission

Decision to make
Hi, I’ve been told I need to have a valve replacement and can’t make my mind up between a mechanical valve and Ross procedure. I’m 46 so if I have the Ross procedure I’ll need to get another replacement in 20 years or so. The mechanical valve looks like it will make my diet complicated , I need to reduce
