med side effects to hips

Has anyone developed osteoarthritis as a result of your meds? I started having trouble walking/ traveling a year after starting Verzenio then Ibrance. Both hips are “a mess” as the osteo doc said. I took the conservative route before hip replacement but can no longer walk without a cane or walker which makes travel a great challenge due to other painful side effects such as aescites which is drained weekly. I’m 4 years in from diagnosis which I count as 4 years of living gained. I’m just curious if anyone’s life has stopped even if your cancer is growing. At least I made it to Turkey and took a dawn ride in a balloon before traveling became untenable.

Are you on an AI like letrozole? The aromatase inhibitors do affect our bones and can cause issues like difficulty with body aches, stiffness and pain. Bone loss can occur over time. I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this. Hugs 🤗
