I'm 2 years post surgery... valve, root and then a pacemaker. Still get severe fatigue from time to time and I think that's normal.I have a fairly active job, on my feet 90% of the day, so I had a meeting with my employers and asked for reasonable adjustments to be made and for me that was adequate rest breaks.
If you haven't already spoken to your place of work then please do.

I had a new heart valve last July and all was very good for a few weeks, until I felt exhausted in early September. Blood tests showed that I have cardiac haemolytic anaemia, though nearly all my blood results suggest "only" slight anaemia. The exception is one for lactate dehydrogenase, which is more than twice the top threshold level. This can be linked to a defective natural valve or an artificial one. The most obvious symptom is heaviness in one's limbs.
I was almost anaemic before my faulty valve was diagnosed, and following an insect bite ten year ago I have had occasional periods of fatigue .
In May I had an iron infusion that has helped a little, with further blood tests scheduled for early August.
