post menopausal health problems - pain in pelvic area after total hysterectomy

Hi

Since being properly post menopausal and having a total hysterectomy for early stage cancer which was cured by surgery, I have developed several new health issues. One which causes me a lot of discomfort is pain in my pelvic area - it feels like it’s just inside my right buttock near the perineum . It’s like a sore nagging ache and usually occurs when I’m sat down. A scan has revealed nothing of significance which could be causing the pain. Has anyone in a similar situation experienced? Could it be scar tissue?

Thank you

Lara

🤔 On the NHS site…there’s only mention of pain after the procedure.

But..this link is to a US site, and gives a lot more information…it could be helpful. You may benefit from treatment from a Pelvic Pain Specialist.
