Bio-Identical Estrogen Safety
I miss my estrogen. I have osteopenia and I'm post menopausal. At the age of 64, is it safe for me to take bio-identical hormones for my bones? I have been without synthetic HRT for about two years and my bones are falling apart. Are there any studies on bio-identical HRT?

interpreting my blood test results
Hello again I posted here about a month ago, and received really useful information about what blood tests for hypothyroidism should reveal. I have now had the results of the tests, which are quite lengthy, but do not seem to have any information on T3 and T4 levels. Please could some wise person comment

New Doctor/central hypo
Hello everyone! I haven't posted my own stuff for a while now. What do you all think of this situation: The new doctor who took over the practice ordered the tests last week. At our first in person appointment I explained to her the my hypothyroidism is not because my thyroid but my pituitary.

post surgery bleeding
hi I just wanted to ask I am 2 weeks post suregery for endometriosis stage 4. The gynaecologist placed me on zoladex for the next three months and HRT tablets to give my ovaries a rest. However, over the weekend had had cramping and my period started even though it is not due for another two weeks

Ferritin levels
I've been given blood test results for serum iron level, saturation ironbindng capacity and serum TIBC. I'm not sure which of these is significant for RLS ad what level they should be.

Ignorance
Slight rant but more despair at the ignorance of ones, and lack of desire for them to educate themselves before making assertive statements about treatment. Let me briefly explain, on Saturday I went to a family gathering, long time since everyone together. Included my sister and family from Australia

feeling weird just started levo
I started 50 mcg levothyroxine 3 days ago, felt very energetic within an hour of taking it, bit hyper but manageable and felt so positive. Took advice from this forum to split the dose and that helped but last night I wasn’t able to sleep, tense muscles sensation of palpitations and just couldn’t drop

Pain L/H/S when lying in bed
So my GCA is behaving, my spine fractures are healed and arthritis in spine is behaving. My walking is improving and even my Achilles Tendon is playing nice so why now do I get aching pain when in bed from my hip down my left leg to my foot when lying on my left hand side ( I prefer to sleep on that

Medichecks Result and a warning about testing & HRT
Apologies for the long post (my first) and thank you if you manage to get to the end of it. Bit of history first (there's more in my bio), after 7 years of being bedbound with a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, I was finally prescribed combination T3/T4 in 2018. I hadn't had my bloods checked since 2019

Is this a flare or lingering post op pain ?
I am 8 weeks post hip replacement and am reducing prednisolone 2.5 to 2mg. I have been having lower back pain and stiff shoulders first thing since returning home which gradually disappears once I get up. Not sure whether this is because I have had to sleep on my back (normally a side sleeper) or it

Why does improvement of symptoms seem to matter so little when treating hypothyroidism?
Quite a wordy title (and a lengthy post - sorry!), but it's something that has been bothering me ever since I passed the first 6 months post-TT, and even more so now, following @waveylines' post from earlier this week concerning the NHS' newly reiterated views on NDT (thank you for making such an informative
