Help interpreting iron panel
Hello I am hypothyroid, about 5 years & take just under 100mg levothyroxine daily. I have a high T4 & low T3 and see a private endo who has offered to prescribe T3. I'm generally feeling ok but do struggle with puffy & very sore eyes, dry skin & high cholesterol. I am thinking of trialling the T3.

My visit to the Neurologist in the UK
I was incorrectly referred to the epilepsy clinic but the consultant saw me anyway and took my history. She said she would also chat to the “movement specialist” for their in put. She did a physical examination and noted my reflexes were “brisk”. She said that the dopamine agonists had been effective

Help with how to proceed
Delighted to report that after 6 months trying and trialling different levels of Eltroxin, I have at last persuaded the GP to agree to adding t3 back into my prescription. I’m not sure how best to take it though, whether to reduce eltroxin or not. And the GP really didn’t know but gave me 10 Thybon as

Evorel Conti Patches
I'm currently on HRT oral tablets and have been for a number of years but wanted to try a more bio identical type. I've now been prescribed Evorel Conti patches and just wondered if anyone had used them and what they thought.

Thyroid research project
I wrote to complain about the thyroid research being carried out in Newcastle and there have been a little flurry of emails with me getting nowhere. Here is what has been written. The article he refers to can be found in THYROID Volume 31, Number 5, 2021 Clinical Outcomes After Discontinuation of Thyroid

Thyroid - updated bloods - advice
Good morning, Just had the attached bloods back from Medichecks and wonder if anyone had any advice before I return to GP to discuss. I took the test at 7:30am after fasting overnight and within one hour of waking. I’ve put columns for previous tests in April and September for comparison. TSH

changing from Armour to levo
Hi all I take armour thyroid and have done for over 10 yrs now. I was originally prescribed this by a private doctor but further down the rd I found a way to buy Armour myself so I self medicate. I test my levels regularly (probably every 4-6 months) and I’ve felt in a good place for years. That’s

Has anyone taken a non-medication route and seen an improvement in their osteoporosis through only supplements/diet/exercise?
Hello, I have osteoporosis and been advised to take medication - either HRT or Alendronate. However, I as an alternative wondered whether anyone who is not on medication has seen an improvement in their osteoporosis through only supplements/diet/exercise?

I was recently diagnosed with afib and am taking Eliquis and propofenone. I am scheduled for a hip replacement in two weeks and am wondering if having afib makes the surgery more dangerous. Thanks for any advice or info.

Low appetite
Hi, undiagnosed but strongly suspect hypo possibly Hashi and gathering info/signs etc. Started supplements for folate, vit d (with k) and b complex just about to start magnesium too. On HRT including DHEA. So, my appetite has been on the wane, probably since menopause and thyroid problems began.

Medichecks bloods with some very low/high bloods. Appt with GP 4th March to discuss.
My wife's bloods are still way off. It's listed below. She recently had a nasty bug on 29th December and feels shes still a bit chesty. She also developed a rash on the top front of her chest which was treated with hydrocortisone (Daktacort) but still feels there's a little left there. Still tired,
