Soreness post hysterectomy
Hi there, I had a
total
hysterectomy
due to severe endometriosis 4 weeks ago, the operation was apparently quite difficult and 5 hours long, I also lost a lot of blood (sorry to be graphic) My surgeon managed however to do it keyhole which was great, as I was expecting open surgery.

Hysterectomy update
Hi, so I had my hysterectomy on Monday. It went well though when they opened me up they found things were worse than expected. The cyst had grown from 6cm in December to 12cm. The surgeon showed me photos afterwards, I couldn't believe how big it was. I don't understand how I could have had something

Your opinion on some test results
I’d be very grateful for your opinion on where I’m at after an increase in Levothyroxine and some recent test results. I’ve included some past results to show a comparison. I feel an improvement in some ways, especially sleep, memory, brain fog, sweating and constipation, and I’ve been able to introduce

Who knows about ferritin/ iron tests? Confused here! Do I need to do something? Help please!
I get confused with ferritin and iron results, as I can't remember how they work together. Ferritin is low, but haemoglobin is ok? My GP marked everything 'normal'. I'd be grateful for some explanation and advice on what to do please! I have felt more tired. In fact absolutely exhausted a couple of

Start Over or Decrease Dose
The labs below are for 2 grains of NP Thyroid tested about 10 hours after my dose. I see an Integrative doctor and we are not agreeing on the next step . I definitely felt overmedicated. I was emotional, looked and felt horrible, and felt like I was starving all the time, so I believe I need to lower

Advice on blood results gratefully recieved
I have just received blood results. The test was completed as advised on forum. I take 75mcg Levo. The only supplements I take are vit d and k, and magnesium. I eat a fairly health varied diet. Tried gluten free for almost year with no noticeable difference . Drink mainly oat milk and lactose free

High CA-125, yet no symptoms
I had a
TOTAL
hysterectomy
, and debaulking. First round of chemo was carbo-taxol - responded well. Two years later I had a recurrence and had a second round of carbon-gemzar and avastin and responded well. In March of 2020 I started Zejula and have been on it ever since.

BB on the road
Ok lets get the tabs out of the way, Stilton 40mg Pred, also statins and blood thinners, done. Been noticing recently ( by the way I have flat foot ) which is on my left which is also the same leg as my total knee replacement. Apart from walking round looking like Michael Flattly ( river dance man)

Appointment with Gynae- who clearly wasn’t interested
Just had an appointment with a private gynaecology dept via the NHS. Honestly I felt like the guy wasn’t all that interested, he barely even asked me my symptoms, he didn’t even ask how bad or where my pain was , he told me I had adenomyosis from an internal exam and then basically said there is no cure

Anyone had a surgeon who operates on a 'Frozen Pelvis' for a second time?
Hi everyone, It's a long story, but does anyone have experience of surgery on a Frozen Pelvis for a second time? I had stage 4 endometriosis with severe bowel adhesions 13 years ago (age 36). I had full hysterectomy and both ovaries removed. My bowel had to be dissected due to the adhesions and I was

How to support someone going through chemotherapy
Hi everyone I really hope that I’m okay to ask this question. I’m after some advice on how best to support my mum who is 78. She has recurrent endometrial cancer that has spread to three sites. First diagnosed in 2017, had hysterectomy, recurred in 2019 and had a hormone treatment followed by chemotherapy

Knee Revision Surgery
Hi everyone. I had total knee replacements about two and a half years ago and one has continued to have swelling and pain.it was initially put down to a rheumatoid flare but they’ve now taken X Rays and say that it looks like it’s come loose. They’re suggesting revision surgery which is more invasive

Hysterectomy on nhs
Hi I’m new to this platform but wanted to know if anyone had any tips on how they went about requesting a hysterectomy from their gp? I’m aware this may be unlikely as I’m only 18 but all the treatment I’ve been given hasn’t helped my pain much.
