Iron panel interpretation please
This is a friend’s recent iron panel I’ve looked on rT3 adrenals where it says a low transferrin level indicates a lack of capacity for supplemental iron. I really don’t understand this when it’s clear her whole panel is low, including ferritin. My grasp of iron is poor so anyone who

Iron deficiency problem? But told satisfactory . Please can anyone advise
Hi everyone, Hope you are all keeping well as we can be. Apologies for this long post I recently requested in Sep to have my VIT D levels checked as I recognised some of the symptoms from when I was deficient. And for some reason my levels had dropped so started 5 weeks ago to take a twice weekly

Might need hysterectomy
This seems very radical, I was hoping my unaffected ovary could be saved so I could go through menopause naturally as I'm 46 but he said given my history it would be best to consider full removal

So I posted not that long ago but didn’t get much help. I did have my other vitamin results in this post. currently all my Levo dosage is the same 200mcg and alternating with 212mcg the next day. I’m getting a lot of heart palps and keep going dizzy. I thought it was low iron, but my levels seem

living with endo
Hi all - first time poster I have stage 4 endometriosis with adhesions to bowel and fibroids. I am due a hysterectomy but have been told by consultant that 20% chance it won’t help with the pain, that the endometriosis on bowel will likely remain and there are other risks generally with the surgery.

Tapering after surgery
Hi I have been on prednisolone since 2015 when I was on 60mg and also methotrexate and it has taken me till now to reduce to 3mg a day. On the 14th March I had a hysterectomy and pelvic floor repair. I was told to stop methotrexate for a while before surgery because it increases the risk of infection

vasospastic angina
Hi, I had a radical hysterectomy one month ago. Since then vasospastic angina has got worse. Can this kind of surgery and drop in hormones cause issues. I am told it will settle but to date it hasn’t and resulted in two trips to A&E. Grateful for advice. Many thanks

Confused and seeking advice
Hi - 36 yo, had classic endo symptoms for the last 4-5 years - started seeking medical advice 3 years ago privately - still on the never ending road to find answers.... The worst of my symptoms is the pain during and after intercourse, it is ruining my relationship. The majority of this pain seems to

Hello, Just trying to work out if thyroid looks ok please and doesn't need any further investigation? I know I'm iron deficient with a low ferritin level but have been supplementing for 8 weeks now and have got up from 8 ug/L to 31 ug/L and am no longer anaemic either as Hb has raised a little too

HELP, PLEASE??!!
I just had a total knee replacement. For 3 years now buprenorphine has helped, but today I took hydromorphone for pain that my surgeon prescribed, Nexium that my family doctor recommended to take to keep the aspirin I have to take postop to keep from getting ulcers, and cyclobenzaprine. Unfortunately

iron results
I’d appreciate some feedback on my iron panel results please? I know my ferritin is too low, even if it’s above the bottom of the range. I upped how much black pudding, pate, or liver I’m eating at 5 out of 7 days a week for over a couple of months. Is my iron too decent enough to be able to take

Blood test results
Hi everyone, Been here a few times as I try and get my thyroid/iron levels good while TTC. Was pleased recently when my iron went up finally but now it, and my other thyroid levels, seem to have got worse. I'm not sure if this is because the test was taken on the last day of my period - would that
