Latest GP diagnosis is... I’m getting old! I'm 55! Help with next steps please… 😠
Hi everyone. So had my GP follow up since my previous posts. My ferritin is 26, which the GP informs me is the highest it’s been since they tested in 2017. She assures me it's fine as it’s ‘in range’ [10 – 180]. She insists I ‘categorically cannot have low B12 symptoms’ with an ‘above range’ B12

18 years of pain
I have been diagnosed with diffused adenomyosis. I finally have a reason for my pain, I have had the coil, prostrap injections and patch in the past but I am done. I don't want pain anymore and the irregular heavy bleeding, the nausea, pain and bleeding during and after sex the list can go on. I have

Hi everyone. I hope you are all as well as can be. So my journey hasn't been easy like so many of you I can identify with the struggles. 2 years ago I had an MRI scan as I was in so much pain that I kept passing out. On my 4th visit I got a general surgical consult who ordered it. I found out I had deep

Hi all I’m going through the dreaded menopause after having a hysterectomy and I’m estrogen resistant! They cannot get it to go in my bloodstream. Now my thyroid is under active the docs say I have normal bloods yet I feel like an engine that’s breaking down. What can I do please please help me.

Anxious - Endo and bowel surgery
Hello all! Joined this group when I discovered I had endometriosis. I’ve since had a laparoscopy which has confirmed severe endo, obliterated pouch of Douglas, adhesions to the bowel. MRI has also confirmed adenomyosis. Not great! I’ve tried dienogest which just turned me into a psycho so not keen

I suffer health anxiety which I have had many years. After my hysterectomy 7 years ago I had bladder problems which was the feeling of wanting to pee as soon as I had been. It was horrible and lasted over the 6 weeks the consultant said was normal. Now I know once I start something like this I cannot

Carboplatin on its own. Stage 1 anyone else?
Hi everyone, I have looked back through previous posts and can't find many in the same situation as me. Im 57 years old, had a full hysterectomy a month ago to remove a 13cm ovary mass, turned out to be cancerous within the ovary and some pre cancer cells within the fallopian tube. They said it was

Spinal endometriosis? Feeling confused and alone
I was diaognoised with endometriosis back in february this year. I've since had two surgeries the last resulting in in a full hysterectomy. So I'd hoped my problems would have been solved. But as we all know endometriosis is never that simple. Long story short I've also always suffered with back pain

Are my iron levels ok?
Hi. At last I have managed to get a blood test done for iron levels. Could you, Sue Johnson, please comment on them? I feel the ferritin is quite high, which should be good, but am not sure about the other results. Ferritin: 176.5. Ug/ L 10.0-291.0 Serum Iron 16.1. Umol/L. 9.0-30.4 Transferrin

14 year old daughter facing laparoscopy
Hi, I’m hoping to get some advice and support about my 14 year old daughter. I’ve got endo myself and have suffered for 30+ years with it, I had a radical hysterectomy 8 years ago. My worst fears appear to be a reality as my daughter has suffered horrendous period pain since she started 4 years ago.

I started doing this because I found that when I took it in one dose it took a long time to feel the benefit, then I

Im a BRCA2 positive and responded quite well to chemotherapy. My initial CA125 was around 3000 and it dropped to

High iron & Low B12, maybe? New labs interpretation please
Apologies for what will probably be a long post... Recently I've been feeling pretty hypo (crap) - the usual stuff, fatigue, knackered all the time, low mood, no interest in things, hair falling out, but also with a few worsening symptoms - including cognitive decline, and by that I mean like short
