Not exactly PMR but advice please about post menopausal dryness.
Since I was diagnosed with PMR in 2017 I have had frequent episodes of cystitis requiring antibiotic treatment. These seemed to be made worse by the Calcium and vitamin supplement I was prescribed so I stopped taking it. But I still suffer episodes of UTI/ cystitis about once a year and now my GP has

Hypo Dr lowered dose!
Hi everyone, My Dr. lowered my prescription from 150mcg to 125mcg on the basis of a TSH result of 0.01. Test done as advised on here. No T4 or T3 was done. No discussion about symptoms . In fact it was done without any discussion. I’ve had to wait a month to have an appointment with my Dr. Was not

How long did you wait for a hysterectomy for Adenomyosis?
I'm desperate to have a hysterectomy and am seeing the consultant in 2 months. I'd be interested to know how long people have had to wait. My rough guess is 2 years 😢Thank you 💕

Endo back after hysterectomy
I had hysterectomy in March 2020 leaving my ovaries in. I've recently had an ultrasound due to pain and bloating that has indicated that my endo is back around my ovaries. Gynaecologist has suggested taking my ovaries since I am now nearly 48. Has anyone else had this experience?

Hormones vs hysterectomy
I am 43 and facing the next (hopefully last) stage in endometriosis life. I have had two laparoscopic surgeries and a successful few years on the mirena coil. After an unbearable few months it has been recommended that we induce early menopause to manage. The big question is Hormones vs hysterectomy.

Operations and GMC
Hi I’ve had a complaint in with GMC for a long time, it was about not having the hysterectomy with colorectal involvement which meant I had to have a further op for bowel adhesions as they were left. It turns out the GMC don’t feel it’s at all dangerous to have to have an operation and quite happy

KNEE SURGERY
Hello all, just had a call from my Hospital informing me that my total knee replacement surgery is in 2 WEEKSAs I have Lymphoedema in both legs - left leg is worse. Surgery is on right knee. I have been told the leg will be tightly dressed from ankle to groin to try and avoid me having an ulcerated leg

HE4 blood test
hi all Has anyone had the experience where your CA125 was within the normal range at the time of your diagnosis? Mine was 29 the night before my hysterectomy. That was in 2020 and the CA125 since then has been in the single digits even when it recurred in 2022. My June 2023 CT scan didn’t show evidence

pregnancy after surgery?
hi ladies, I just wanted to know if any of you managed to have babies after surgery for stage 4 endometriosis and with adenomyosis. I’m 36 now and I’m due my surgery in just under 3 weeks time. I’m very nervous about being able to have a baby with my partner. We don’t want to do it straight away

Does tranexamic acid work?
Hi guys. I've had an ablation, and it failed. I had the mirena, and I had 2 rounds of the depo injection and I'm still bleeding so so bad. 2 periods a month now on average, so I'm finally on the list for a hysterectomy. Doctor has now put me on tranexamic acid in the hope that it will help. Last month

Adenomyosis
Back when I had my initial scans ahead of IVF treatment one of the Dr's diagnosed me with adenomyosis. This surprised me as no one had ever spotted this before and I thought you couldn't diagnose it from a transvaginal ultra sound. When I said "Are you sure??" she said "You definitely have adenomyosis

Flare after TKR update
Just an update - I have taken ibuprofen regularly but no improvement and today I feel incredibly fatigued. I have therefore increased from 6.5mg to 10mg and will stay at this level for at least a week provided it solves the problem. Strangely it seems that everything but the knee hurts! Recovery

Total knee replacement?
I have RA, diagnosed at Christmas 2020. I also have buggered knees - I believe that is the correct medical term - that pre-date the RA diagnosis. At my last (final?) RA consultation the consultant showed me a beautiful X-ray of my knees. Nice bones, absent cartilage. He had previously mentioned knee
