memory loss prostap hell
my life is a living hell at the min I have been on prostap injections now for 2 1/2 years. I was meant to be having a hysterectomy but because I have a complex medical history. They keep finding excuses not to do the surgery such as can’t have general anaesthetic because of XY and Z and I can’t

Has anyone else struggled after catheter?
I had my endo and fibroids excised on Saturday. I'm hoping it's enough otherwise I'll be back for a hysterectomy to get rid of the adeno too. I found out the day before surgery I would be catheterised. This was fine until the catherer was removed a day later, when I really struggled to empty my bladder

Hysterectomy in your 30's?
I would really love to hear from warriors who had a hysterectomy in your 30's please. Im 39 and terrified of the prospect. Particularly mental health, weight gain and not being able to have sex. Have you suffered these? Do you regret the decision? I have adeno and endo, extensive with kissing ovaries

I just wanted to share this . It’s a YouTuber called Yoga with Joy . She has a whole series of gentle yoga specifically for post hysterectomy/post abdominal surgery recovery. I have found it helpful and it’s good that it’s very specific. Anyway just wanted to share. I’ll put one link here but she

Hi I am on prostap injection awaiting a hysterectomy and other complications/ adhesions on bowel and bladder. Had my first 2 injections with some symptoms of tiredness, bone/ back pain but nothing I couldn't handle compared to the pain I was in. However today I had my 3 rd injection and feel nauseated

metformin
I’m 60yoF, partial hysterectomy years ago. After hysterectomy was dx hashimotos. On levothyroxine 75mcg, continuously wt gain despite walking 7-10 miles daily. Eat healthy most often as an educated nutritionist. I convinced my MD to try Metformin to see if any help. MD would only order 500 once daily

Colonoscopy next week
Hello everyone, I am 40 years of age, living in Scotland, on waiting list for Hysterectomy (88 weeks so far) I have suspected endometriosis - symptoms of pain and heavy bleeding from womb. In past 6 months, have also been having issues with my bowel - extreme pain with toileting and anything vaguely

So down today 🥺 Why does everything take so long and nothing helps
I'm in my late 40s and have a provisional diagnosis of Adenomyosis I don't think I've ever felt so low, as today. I'm waiting for urgent mri scan results, that I had 5 weeks ago. I am in crippling pain. My bowels are all over the place and everyday I have rectal bleeding. I can't tolerate stronger pain

hysterectomy advice
Hi, Can anyone offer any advice? I have grade 4 endo affecting both my bowel and bladder too. I’ve started GNrH injections (had 4) and saw the consultant today for a review and to discuss surgery. Surgery would be a complete hysterectomy but obviously there would be assistance from potential other

confused about lap
I had a CT scan and they found cysts and I believe one is an endometriosa cyst. My laparoscopy is soon, and I’m wondering if they have a look - if it’s bad, what are the reasons they would suggest a full hysterectomy for? thanks

NHS and Endometriosis both caused me lots of pain and complications
I’ve had many horrible symptoms for years including blood in my stool and infertility but my GPs and NHS Gynaecologists couldn’t find out that I’ve had Endometriosis. I was even told I may have bowel cancer as there was blood in my stool, so, my GP asked me to do a colonoscopy but Colonoscopy results

Next step is apparently hysterectomy?
Just seen specialist consultant who did my excision operation for stage 4 endo in May. He discharged me and said next stage would be hysterectomy when my pain becomes unbearable again. How long till that might happen I'm wondering. But depressing news but I guess to be expected?

Advice needed please!
Hi all, I am 51 years old and have suffered from Endo for the past 7 years approx and had an op to remove some about 4 years ago. This seemed to help for a while but it came back as I believe is often the case. I have been on the mini pill since the op and the condition has been almost manageable and

Has anyone here discovered they have endometriosis/and or adenomyosis at a later stage in life? Just found out at 50!
Right now I am sad and very angry. I have been under my local gynae and gastroenterology departments for over 20 years. That’s 20+ years of endless gastro tests for my ongoing digestive issues (I’ve had 2 colonoscopies, 2 gastroscopes, blood tests, fit tests, a scan for bile acid malabsorption). During

Failed Endometrial Ablation: Prostap
Hi folks, Here goes, I had an ablation done but I’ve never had endometriosis - long story - it’s failed and I’m due to have the Prostap injection. I’m worried about weight gain a developing hashimoto’s, I’m paralysed and osteoporosis is also a worry. I’m very high risk for hysterectomy surgery, so
