Good morning everyone.
Following the emergency removal of my ovarian tumour and then my full hysterectomy, the biopsies showed some pre-cancerous cells in the cervix.
Waited 4 months for a CT scan, the results are no evidence of disease from tumour, or cervix area, and lung embolism appears to have resolved too.
Next is a smear of my vaginal cavity (was sewn up after cervix removed) in December to double check re: the pre cancerous cells.
This is all good news! But I’m not too excited yet as I’ve also had to be recalled from a mammogram, and had a biopsy on Monday on a cyst in my left breast, as they couldn’t tell if it was a benign one or not! I should get results next Monday.
(plus I won’t settle until after the smear!) I know there can be links between ovary and breast and I’m hoping there isn’t on this occasion!
So I’m trying to be positive about Monday, but after the last year of one thing after another, I’m finding it hard to do so!
But I wanted to also share the good news re: the CT, as I know we all find comfort in good news…
With love,
Ems
