Hello, I found a lump in my tummy in July, my CA125 was 80. After scans I was told, mid August, that I have a borderline tumor and will have a hysterectomy, removal of fallopian tubes, omentum & possibly appendix.
I am still waiting for this op, I feel it has been a long time to wait. Should I be pushing or is it not so urgent as it is a borderline tumor.
many thanks for any advice x

Keep phoning and emailing your specialist nurse(s). I had a borderline tumour as well and initially given over two months to wait for my op (same procedure as yours). I kept in regular contact with my wonderful specialist nurses, as well as my GP, advising them of my worsening symptoms, and they kept telling the MDT that I needed an earlier date. So when a date opened up, they immediately got in touch and this meant my operation took place a month earlier than originally scheduled. Good luck 💙
I had this operation 10 months ago, I chased for the operation and was given appointment quite quickly. Everything went well the consultants are amazing I will be forever grateful to them. Good luck xx
Well I had the same issue however they moved forward with my surgery very quickly due to havinga mass the size of a honeydew melon. Even borderline is not good. I'd push because cancer grows very quickly. Hysterectomy sucks but losing your life is worse. Praying all goes well for you
