Feeling poorly

what next?
I was diagnosed with PMR five years ago and my gp kept me on Prednisolone for two years which resulted in a catalogue of side effects including glaucoma and cataracts. My diagnosis was confirmed as RA shortly after. I have been taking methotrexate successfully since. However my condition has worsened

Aching legs
Does anyone have an opinion on why my thighs and ankles are so painful when I’m in bed , also have swollen hot feet.? I can manage the pain through the day but can’t sleep at night My haemo thinks it might be Polymyalgia rheumatica but I’m not convinced and don’t want to take steroids. I’m trying

PMR symptoms after steroid injection 12 days ago
Happy New Year everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas .🎄 I posted just before Christmas about awful shoulder and neck pain and that I saw a private doctor who thinks my symptoms are PMR. He gave me a steroid injection. It has helped dampen down the pain. It was excruciating but has since

steroid injection
Hi everyone Happy New Year to you all. Can anyone answer my question if it's safe to have a steroid injection for frozen shoulder if you have open angle glaucoma? Don't know what to do. Many thanks in advance.

Tattoo /steroids
My rheumatologist mentioned I might need steroid injections into my feet/toes specifically (guided by ultrasound). I have a large foot tattoo (well, I have fairly small feet but tattoo is across a fairly large proportion). She said they'd inject just beside it. I'm quite anxious about damaging my tattoo

Severe Rash associated with RA?
Has anyone ever had a severe rash which has been attributed to RA? I’m on day 7 of what the doctor initially thought was a drug allergy rash (due to an antibiotic antifungal mouth treatment) but it has continued to get worse. It’s flaming red, hot and itchy and is starting to peel. Currently covers 70%

GP insisting on using CRP & ESR as inflammatory markers...and managing to get a creatine kinase blood test ordered...legs are still an issue
Hello I was called in to my GP surgery yesterday, by one of the GPs, the letter indicating it was for a medication review. She's not one of the GPs I prefer to see, she can be a little vague etc. But we ended up going through my meds and she asked about steroids being on my repeat....I said that although

Cortisol levels
Well, I had the short synathacen test two weeks ago and a call from the rheumatologist on Monday. Apparently it was 368 after 30 minutes and 438 after 1 hour. The rheumatologist was bit downbeat about that result saying he was hoping for 450 plus, and also saying that it 'might come back' but also seemed

advice on sulfasalazine and the sun
I have been told by my rheumatologist nurse that I need to start taking sulfasalazine for my reactive arthritis, as I had a steroid injection after taking steroids orally, but it’s still not keeping the joint stiffness at bay completely . I’m not happy as I was under the impression that reactive arthritis
