scared mum unborn baby 34 weeks with kidney and bladder problems and no amniotic fluid.
my unborn baby has so many problems with kidneys bladder and urethras. He has absent amniotic fluid. I’ve had steroids to help with his lungs. They say prognosis is not a good outcome. Dialysis, transplants etc. First thing will be to get him to breathe. Nothing was found on growth scan 4 weeks before

Methotrexate for the summer
Hi lovely friends, Some of you will recall back in February that I had a flare with rash that my Rheumy, Dr A, didn’t recognise as a Lupus rash. He is still adamant it wasn’t Lupus then but that the progression, which 2 weeks later was confirmed by the Dermatologist as a Lupus rash, was! 🤷🏼♀️

waiting for the result of a 24 urine test as possible hypercalcaemia
I am waiting for the result of a 24 hour urine test. I have previously had above the normal range calcium tests. This has been going on for about a year. I’m guessing that the culprit is lithium but I’m wondering whether steroids can cause this ?

Gluten free diet
Hi just wondering if anyone has tried a gluten free diet to reduce inflammation? I’m off steroids now so would like at least a change from low carbs . Just interested in other opinions

Yup… I’m writing a script! (😂😂😂). Picture this…. A future utopia society with Val Kilmer as (inspired by me😂😂😂) and Jennifer Connelly (inspired by Fancy59😂😂😂). Here’s the plot: The ‘PIC’, Private insurance companies, facing massive losses, have resorted to hiring hit men to ‘remove’ Six

Hello knowledgeable people. I need to pick your brains. A quick recap of my saga: A year ago I saw a Rheumatologist privately because my GP practice was ignoring me because my esr readings were normal. He confirmed what I already knew, that approximately 18% pmr sufferers don't have raised inflammatory

Update on problems I had with my head last year
I have put what happened to me a year ago in a previous post, but can't find it at the moment. Anyway I will give a brief rundown of what happened. I got up one morning, and had a dreadful pain in the back of my head, left side behind my ear. It was really frightening, and it felt as if my brain had

hi, my mum has just been diagnosed and is currently being weaned off the meds and steroids that aren’t doing her any good (they didn’t know what was wrong with her so just threw loads of meds at it) she’s really suffering with her skin, it’s very read and painful and she hasn’t started any lupus meds

Feeling like I've plateaued
Hi I need reassurance, I was diagnosed with PA privately in nov last year after over a year of frequent 'not low enough for treatment on nhs' blood tests. I started eod b12 injections and apart from a break when I tried to increase to 3 days (mistake) I have seen slow improvements. A month ago I came

I am currently taking 13mg of steroids. I took your advice before my holiday last week to stay at 13, till after my holiday, I’ve been on 13 for about a month now. I was in a lot of pain during my holiday, I still am. It’s buttocks, legs down to knees , and right arm. I also have spinal stenosis

Rheumy helpline not replied to me 😢
Hi all, I've had RA since 2018 and I've had a cocktail of drugs since then, but I've now been on sarilumab for around 2 years and was doing okish up until a few months ago. I've rang Rheumy helpline last Wednesday and we have to leave a message but still had no reply. My appointment should have been

New GCA diagnosis
Hi spent the best part of this week in and out of the hospital. Diagnosed with PMR in March. Responded well to 15mg of Prednisolone. Started the taper of 1mg per month and was feeling fine. Then 2 weeks ago developed a pain in my jaw and side of left side of my face and tenderness around my temples.

Flare or adrenal crisis?
This forum is invaluable and I would really appreciate some advice as I'm confused as to how to proceed. Diagnosed by rheumatologist last October after months of pain & stiffness .. hips so stiff had difficulty sitting/standing up .. couldn't raise right arm .. feeling ill. However GP wasn't convinced

Considering knee replacement surgery but ....
I have stage 3B kidney disease with creatine of 2.0 and eGFR 36. I'm 74 years old and except for high cholesterol (which I've had all my life) and managing hypertension with Lisinopril, all my blood lab numbers are excellent. My main concern about knee surgery revolves around during and after-surgery

Anyone had back (muscle) spasms? Is it linked to PMR?
My lower and middle back has gone into spasm and I'm finding it very hard to resolve and there isn't much info out there on the internet so am appealing to a wider audience. I'm wondering if it is linked to the PMR or steroids because it has left me with weak muscles? Standing in one spot, walking

2nd failed FET solo journey 😢💔 seeking support/questions/tests I can ask for? TIA
I am a solo lady, who froze eggs and am now using donor sperm to try and have a baby. The pain of another failed transfer is heart wrenching and this is probably the only place where someone truly understands those feelings and pain😢 I am trying to figure out what I can ask my consultant on our follow

Swelling back after knee aspiration
Hi everyone,I have had a diagnosis of inflammatory arthritis for about 10 years now (although the symptoms had been there many years longer like so many of us). I am on a weekly Metoject 20mg and 6x 500g Sulfasalazine daily. It tends to be my knees that are particularly affected and over the last 10
