Hi, my daughter in law has Hashimotos following the birth of her first child 10 years ago. It wasn’t diagnosed until after the birth of her second child 5 years ago, when she was swollen and had gained a lot of weight and her hair was falling out. She’s now lost the weight and is reasonably well, although

Not sure what to do!!

Hi, For the past few days I have been extremely breathless, the doctor is treating me for a chest infection even though I have no other symptoms. I am sure that I don't have an infection and the antibiotics and steroids are making no difference. I am generally not a person who suffers with breathlessness

Needing your guidance!
So at my consultation I have been suggested to go enquire about my autoimmune concerns and get accurate advice from a clinic which specialist in immunology, just so we have the advice of which steroids to take or NK cell testing etc and then come back to my clinic. The decision we are facing is short

Why ………..
My fit and healthy 48 year old husband sadly passed away on the 6th November 2022. It all began on the 3rd October 2022 when he coughed up some blood that morning whilst brushing his teeth. We got him an appointment that day to see our local GP who after a quick check of his chest was not overly concerned

Taking steroids at night….
Thanks to all of you that have made contact regarding taking steroids at night. Have tried a few nights but don’t think this is for me. Am back to daytime but am going to talk to the pharmacist to see if there is a better way of managing them with my other medications during the day. Thanks again

scar on penis
Hello there. Some time ago I had a problem with inflammation on my penis glans. I used unwisely a steroid cream on it and that caused burns. They healed a bit (it is ca. 3 weeks from it now) but I still have some discoloration and kind of star tissue forming. I'm really worried that it won't go off

Repeat prescription
My GP appears to have removed the option of me ordering steroids as a repeat prescription. The last lot I had had to come via 111 as my practice had not processed my prescription - it appears they were querying it.I have been dependent on prednisone since 2015 for my eosinophilic asthma - biologics haven't

stomach
Thankyou for your replies. I have had a camera down into my stomach before I was diagnosed . It showed lesions , which must have been connected with my vasculitis. The only thing to have helped is when I have an infusion of rituximab. Unfortunately it does not last the six months . Most days I can eat

taking steroids at night?
Has anyone experience of taking steroids at nighttime? Am sure I’ve read somewhere that it was quite successful and am keen to give it a try. Am in the process of reviewing my medications and the timings.

Insomnia advice, extreme fatigue, steroid effects
I’m having a tough time with getting restful sleep and the ensuing extreme fatigue. Had a bumpy few weeks with an infection, then a decision to stay with friends in Portugal once the infection was clear. I felt well travelling but did not recover much while there, unlike our visit in September which
