steroid injection for back pain with pain team?

hello, I have had back pain for as long as I remember however 3 years ago was the first episode of severe spasm in my whole back making me collapse and couldn’t be moved for hours. I was put on gabapentin for 2.5 years which I have tapered off because I’m not sure the problem was nerve pain and the mri scan shows a buldging disc and two discs without fluid however I was advised I didn’t need surgery.

It’s been 3 years of very limited mobility, pain & mental struggles. The pain management team finally gave me an appointment and the first route was with a psychologist, or a scan or a doctor which I have had no benefit from.

I have tried acupuncture weekly, massage, physio and I’m now at the stage I can’t sit down. I am now desperate to try a steroid injection of some sort, has anyone had this through the pain team on nhs?

Hoping to get some answers as I’m loosing the will to live like this. I am allergic to codeine and my stomach now can’t tolerate naproxen, ibuprofen etc.
