Dental surgery post heart attack
Next week I am due to undergo a
tooth
extraction
at my local dental surgery and my dentist has requested that I stop taking the aspirin and ticagrelor for 2-3 days prior to the surgical procedure because of the increased risk of bleeding more easily and over a prolonged period.

Tooth extraction query but taking methotrexate.
I asked whether there was a problem removing the
tooth
and was told it was a simple
extraction
and if my rheumatologist agrees then the dentist will remove it.

Actemra and weight
Been off it for a few weeks because of
tooth
extraction
and rheumatologist wants me to restart. RX insert and other research says most biologics and more specifically tocilizumab (Actemra) causes weight gain. I lost significant weight while so sick with GCA even on high dose prednisone.

Let’s start our week with healthy eating awareness! ❤️☀️☮️☯️🌻🧘🏻♀️🌈🙏
According to Harvard school of public health: The American heart association suggests an added-sugar limit of no more than 100 calories per day (about 6 teaspoons or 24 grams of sugar) for most women and no more than 150 calories per day (about 9 teaspoons or 36 grams of sugar) for most men. With this

Which comes first? Poor Diet or Depression? 🤔🧐❤️☀️☮️☯️🌻🧘🏻♀️🌈🙏
According to Harvard Health Medical School Publishing, adopting a healthy diet can lower the risk of developing depressive symptoms. One could argue that being depressed makes us more likely to eat unhealthy foods. This is true as a consequence. Fortunately, researchers have addressed this question by

Just thought I’d post that I’m still waiting for I think about 18 months now for the
extraction
of the
tooth
that has the abscess that my dentist wouldn’t do due to meds and heart condition, one hospital refused to do it, one has agreed and told I’d be first on his list to have it out as I’ve had yet

18 months of sensory overload and headaches
Hi all, I’m 18 months into a debilitating illness and still searching for answers. I’m hoping that there are people in here who can share their wisdom. I’d just returned from a holiday with friends, sleep deprived and in need of some rest. A couple of days later, I started to get an odd sensation in

Anaesthetics for dental treatment.
Is it the case in the U.K. nowadays that only Dental Hospitals can administer anaesthetics for tooth extractions ?

I need to have a simple tooth extraction and I’m taking Rivaroxaban. Do I need to stop taking it prior to extraction?
I understood if it’s a simple extraction there was no need to stop taking Rivaroxaban.

Advice please. I want to run but don't wish to fly!
Three years ago I was running down our local hill Moel Fameau on ice, I slipped, landed hard and ended up in A&E with a broken wrist and later, a diagnosis of osteoporosis. This has left me concerned not to repeat the episode. I am now booked to do the 10k Virtual Winter Run in aid of Cancer Research
