Roots left in after tooth removal help

Had tooth out but root left in they gave me anti biotics just Incase of no infection they say if healed over in two weeks fine otherwise will have to be forwarded to hospital for a root removal anyone had this experience should I be asking to be forwarded anyways any advice help!!?

It's not uncommon for roots to stay in for years with no problems, just wait and see if it settles down.

Very common practice to leave roots in. It’s a lot kinder than attempting surgical extraction if it’s not causing any pain etc. Quite often they work their way to the gum surface after a few years and then can be easily removed. Only becomes a problem if they give you any bother.
