Tooth extraction

Hello everyone, I have PAF and I take Edoxaban 60 mg daily. I have to have 2 teeth extractions. My dentist has advised me that I don't have to stop taking this to have my teeth out. I find this odd . Any advice please Heather

hey ladies, I am am on ibrance100 , Faslodex and xgeva since December of 2018. Currently on xgeva shut every six months. I need a tooth extractions now! I am very scared of jaw disease. Has anyone done this while on xgeva? Any comments would be appreciated Thank you Sima

A massive thank you to so many kind kind people who took the time to help me out.True goodness. Dentist agreed, no need to stop although I had already missed one. Offending tooth is out. Couple of stitches to close and so far so good. I might miss tonight’s dose so 2 tabs in total. Such a terrible worrier

I am having a tooth out at the dentist at midday and haven't been looking forward to it. I am on 3mg Pred and reading the post about the broken tail bone - wondered if a slight increase might help? Last extraction was pretty unpleasant and although I am hoping this one won't be too bad I am not counting

I have been to the dentist and he has advised to have a wisdom tooth extracted. He knows I am taking AA but assured me he has extracted teeth from patients talking AA hundreds of times with no dire consequences. I am always dubious of claims like that but would like your thoughts on it please 😊

Hello, after 5 years on Alendronic acid my osteoporosis bone count is now worse -4.1 and so I am due to start Evenity (Romosozumab) once my tooth extraction has healed. I would be pleased to hear from anyone has experience of this medication please.

Wondering if there is any requirements for having antibiotics, or other medications, before going for tooth extraction or root canal, etc. I have PSC, Cirrhosis (due to PSC - tea-total), Ulcerative Colitis, etc. so already have a messed up immune system and low platelets.

thank you so much to all of you that posted advice- I had the extraction- a gruelling process as the tooth crumbled and came out in bits. This was expected as it was previously root canal treated and the roots get brittle. Anyway I took an extra 1mg Pred that morning and felt ok.
